I thought of that night with her often, especially in the shower. It was probably the hottest night of my life.

And now I had a chance to go back to Chicago. Maybe I could stay with her instead and continue where we left off on Valentine’s Day.

“You know I hate Chicago,” I protested half heartedly. I wasn’t really lying. I did hate all the people and traffic and lack of fresh air. He was right in that we did need to look into buying some new equipment.

“It’s only for two days. You’ll be fine. Good bonding brother time. Maybe take Parker along. I know he’s not working the farm, but he’s a smart guy.”

“Maybe.” I nodded. “Let me think about it and I’ll let you know.”

He stood up. “Okay. Don’t forget to come over to the house for dinner tonight. Your mother was complaining she hasn’t spent any time with you in forever.”

“I will.”

He left and I studied the brochure again, thinking about seeing Vivian.

I pulled out my phone and sent her a quick text.

Hey, sexy. What are your plans for St. Patrick’s Day?

THE END
