I quickly finished getting ready, grabbing my car keys.

“Bye, Mom!” I called.

"You better be going to get Tiffany back!" She called back, and I smiled.

“I am!”

“Good luck!” I heard her yelling as I shut the door behind me.

I got into my car and started towards Blockbuster first. I didn't see Sarah's car in the driveway, or I would have gone to ask her, so I headed to the first place I could think of.

I didn't see her car in the parking lot, and from what I could see in the parking lot, she wasn't working. Neither was Sarah.

Damn it. Where was Tiffany?

I decided to make my way to her house, but as I passed the diner we went to the first night we went out, I saw her car parked in the parking lot. I saw her in the window as I pulled up, sitting at a booth with some other guy.

What the fuck? Had she moved on already without me? Well, too bad. She was mine, and I was going to get her back.

I parked the car and got out, walking quickly towards the diner's door, on a mission to win back my girl.

TIFFANY

Holy shit.

I could see Justin walking in over the shoulder of the guy I was with at the diner. He was headed right for me.

“Who is this, Tiffany?”

I leaned back in the booth. I was having dinner with Lance, a guy my mom had set me up with. He was the son of one of her country club friends. I finally agreed to be set up, hoping going out with someone would make me forget about Justin.

It didn't work, and when I asked to meet him here, he made a derogatory comment about eating at a diner. Ugh, snobby asshole. My plan was to eat and get the fuck out. Maybe my mom would leave me alone for a while about setting me up with someone.

I wasn't about to let Justin know all of this, not when he came in acting like a possessive asshole.

I crossed my arms over my chest. “Why do you care, Justin? You lost that right when you broke up with me.”

“Wait, you went out withthisguy?” Lance smirked and sat back, putting an arm across the back of the booth.

"Yes, she went out with this guy." Justin glared at him, and I noticed he clenched his hands at his sides. It pissed me off that he predicted this exact type of thing happening.

“Come with me, Tiffany, please. I want to talk to you.”

“Why should I, Justin? You really hurt me that night.”

He sighed and sat next to me in the booth. “I know. And I’m so sorry. I want to spend the rest of my life making it up to you. Or at least try. Will you please let me?”

I fought back the tears. I'd been dreaming for days that Justin would want me back. I even tried to call and convince him, but he ignored my messages.

“You can’t seriously be considering this, Tiffany? What would your parents say?” Lance whined.

I grabbed my purse and threw twenty dollars onto the table. “This should more than cover dinner and a tip.” I turned to Justin. “Let’s go talk.”

He flashed that crooked grin and took my hand, helping me out of the booth and outside to his car. He walked me to the passenger door and stopped before opening it.

He trapped me against the car door and cupped my face in his hands. "I'm so sorry, Tiffany. I was a fool." Then, before I could say anything, he leaned down and kissed me. It was a deep kiss, his tongue teasing mine.
