“I trust you.”

After we snapped a few more pictures,we grabbed our things and headed downstairs to the truck. The moment she stepped outside, shesqueaked, and her teeth started to chatter.

“What the absolute fuck is this weather?”

That made me laugh.

“It’s only about forty degrees.”

“What! Only forty degrees? I have never felt forty-degree weather.”

“Oh, Mama. How are you going to survive New York in the upcoming months if forty-degree weather has your teeth chattering?”

“I’m sorry that Citrus Grove has perfect weather year around.”

I could literally see her defrosting once we were sitting in the back seat of the truck. The drive was onlya mile up the road, so she’d be feeling the weather again soon.

“Along with the building, I purchased more land, building a restaurant and a club abouthalf a mile away. Most people drive their golf carts up the road, but I didn’t want to get one.”

“This place is just so beautiful, Mr. Dymon.”

“Thank you. Ilike it too.”

When we pulled up to the restaurant, I told the driver that I had it. I wanted to open the door for her like it was a real date.

“Why thank you, Mr. Dymon. I could get used to this treatment.”

“You’re more than welcome.”

We walked up the small walkway to the restaurant.

“Now, look, Princess. When you walk in here, you are probably going to see a lot of famous people. Don’t go star-crazy.”

“Excuse you?You don’t have to lecture me like I’m a child. I understand that people are here to relax. Ugh. I could knock you out right now.”

“I’m sorry for offending you. I just—”

“I am not one of your bimbos you gallivant around the world with.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Thank you for apologizing because I was really offended. And you shouldn’t be talking to women who youhave tolecture before you take them somewhere fancy. Up your standards.”

When I opened my mouth to respond, nothing came out because she was right.

We were greeted with a couple of large smiles.

“May I take your coats?” the hostess asked.

Quinci pulled her coat tight around her body, making me smile.

“Mr. and Mrs. Danger, right this way.”

Quinciturned and smirked at me, doing a little dance with her shoulders. It didn’t makesense to correct her because I thoughtit sounded good too. I watched her switch in front of me as she strutted behind the hostess. The lust was extremely deep, borderline dangerous. She led us to a table with a good view of the moonlit mountains. I pulled the chair out for her before sitting across from her.

“I will not ever get over this view.” She sighed.

“Neither will I.” When she looked at me, I winked, making her blush even harder.
