“Naomi!” Iain declared as if it were the juiciest gossip in the world.
“What? When?” Yesenda asked.
“I dinnae ken the details. But I never would have put those two together.”
Yesenda put aside the mace and said, “But Naomi hates him.”
Iain sat down beside her and said, “Aye, and Kieran dislikes her with equal measure. Bram said there are matters they must deal with first before they return.”
“What matters?”
“Something to do with Torstein.”
“Well, I just hope they’re safe,” Yesenda said.
Iain replied, “If Naomi is anything like you, I very much doubt it.”
