Page 16 of Taste of Sin

My eyes pop open and all I see is an arrogant grin spread across his face. “Tell me what you want Princess.”

I slowly catch my breath and his lips cover mine, stealing it once again. His lips are the sweetest taste of sin and I need more. I need him but I can’t. When he releases my mouth he asks again, “I’ll give you anything you want. All you have to do is ask.”

“The bakery.” I blurt out, catching even me by surprise.

He lowers his eyes at me. I know that wasn’t the answer he expected. It’s not the answer I’m dying to give him but I’m flooding with emotions and of course the most unexpected response is born out of embarrassment.

I wiggle out of his hold and crawl backwards on the bed, gathering the sheets in front of me. I can’t look him in the eye, not after the way I responded. Tension weighs thick in the air around us as I await his response. I don’t know what he’s going to do or say, and I wish I could take it back. I wish I told him I wanted him inside of me instead of blurting out something so ridiculous.

Chapter 10

Dominic

She gathers the sheets close to her chest as if she can hide her body from me. I have half the mind to rip them away and finish what I started but she’s trembling. As bad as I want her, I can't force her. The fear in her eyes guts me. I felt the way she reacted to my touch, she’s as hungry for me as I am for her, but she needs more time. She needs me to prove to her, I’m a man she can trust. A man of my word.

The corners of my lips turn up into a half grin at her reaction. Only seconds ago, she came undone on my fingers and now she acts timid. I can’t read her expressions as easily as I can most women but there’s no mistaking the eye roll that follows the ringing of my phone. “Does your phone ever stop ringing?”

“Being this powerful is hard work.” I glance at the name on my screen and then up at her. “Bring that body back over here and I’ll ignore it.”

The phone rings again and she pulls herself off the bed dragging the sheet along with her. “Don’t bother. I’m supposed to meet Collin at the bakery in less than an hour.”

I don’t have much experience with hysterical women. Giving orders, killing, taking what I’m owed and unattached sex I have vast knowledge of but the reaction I bring out in her not so much.

“I like to take my time, but I can make it quick if you prefer. Mind you I won’t be gentle if I do.” My cock is aching, and my head is screaming at me for being so damn wrapped up in her. I need a release. Fast.

“Don’t flatter yourself, I’m good.” She huffs and slams the bathroom door closed.

I ignore the urge to rip the damn door off the hinges. I answer the phone when it rings a third time.

“This better be important.” I answer, moving to the living room for privacy. I pour myself a shot of Vodka even though it’s barely eight in the morning. This business is a multitude of moving pieces and since I brought her into my life those pieces are feeling very unstable.

“He knows.” Danny’s frantic voice fills my ears. I swallow the shot letting the burn slide down my throat. “I don’t know how he found out, but Xander knows about the will, and he knows about your marriage.”

“And?” I ask, annoyed by this disruption to what could have been a satisfying morning. “Our marriage wasn’t going to stay secret for long.”

“Don’t you get it? This isn’t just about you taking control of the business. He wants her. He wants my daughter. What if he tells her?”

“Stop worrying. He can’t have either. I will handle him, and I will take care of her. She’s mine now.” I disconnect the call. I change quickly and stalk out the front door of my apartment before I do something I can’t take back.

“Keep a close eye on her.” I order Lanah as we pass each other at the elevator.

“Yes Sir.” She acknowledges before the elevator door closes.

My mind is everywhere but were it needs to be. It’s on the lull of her voice, the feel of her soft skin and that kiss. Devouring her innocence will be sinful but now that I’ve had a taste, I crave her even more.

I quickly adjust my hard cock bulging against the zipper of my pants and cross the parking garage.

“Is there a problem, Boss?” Dixon asks from the driver's seat when I slide in the passenger side.

“Nothing I can’t handle,” I sigh and face the side window. “I need to make a quick stop.”

Chapter 11

Callie

The wheels are spinning in my head. I don’t know what came over me but the heat of his body radiating through me, his warm breath fanning my skin did something unexplainable to me. The butterflies are still winging around in my stomach. I tell myself it’s just nerves but what do I know? I don’t know what this feeling is. How could I?

He probably thinks I’m a tease or worse yet a virgin. I laugh to myself. I may not have a vast of experience in that field but I’m no stranger to sex. I’m twenty-one for goodness sakes. I may not have been ready to have sex with Xander, but not because I didn’t know how. I didn’t want to. It’s as simple as that. Did I want to be with Dominic? I suppose I did. Why else would I let things go so far this morning? He stirs something in me that I’ve never felt before. I can’t place what it is. I can still feel the reminder of him against my skin.
