I bite my bottom lip and grin. “Oh yeah, anal fingering is the best. So you had a good time?”
She nods blissfully.
“The best.”
I giggle.
“We’re so bad! I mean, who knew girls could really get into back-door naughtiness?”
Ramona merely wiggles her brows at me.
“Yeah, it’s pretty awesome, right?” But then she pauses for a moment. “But why weren’t you there, Har? You know what, I don’t think I’ve seen you at the Club in almost two weeks. Is everything okay?”
I smile quickly but then sober up because I’m not sure how Ramona is going to react to what I’m about to share with her. Heck, I’m not even sure howIfeel about my situation, given that Sam’s technically the man of the house. Or am I the woman of the house because I’m the one whose name is on the deed? Fortunately, Ramona is a good friend, so I decide to confide my naughty secret.
“Um, well, remember when you came over the other night?” I begin slowly, trying to find the best way to tell her about Sam.
Ramona nods. “Um, yeah, like two weeks ago. Why?”
“Well, after you left, Sam came by my room.”
Ramona furrows her brows.
“Who’s Sam? Your butler?”
I shake my head.
“No silly. As in my stepdad Sam. My mom was married to him when she passed away.”
Ramona looks stumped.
“Oh okay. I thought you said you never see him.”
I nod.
“I don’t, so it was kind of a surprise when he showed up at the door. Well, anyways we started talking and then well … we ended up doingthat.”
Ramona’s jaw drops.
“Are you kidding?”
I shake my head.
“No because actually, Sam’s really hot. And it turns out he’s kind of had a thing for me the last few months, and if I’m being honest, I’ve definitely had a crush on him, too.”
Ramona swallows hard.
“Wow. That’s unexpected. I mean, he used to be married to your mom, so isn’t it weird?”
I think for a moment.
“It should be, but it’s not. My mom’s been gone ten years, and it’s not like he raised me. I had a nanny, so there was never a paternal feeling.”
Ramona nods.
“Still, wow, Harlow. That’s pretty far out there.”
I nod.
