The men exchanged glances between themselves, then burst out laughing.

“Yeah, right,” Doc said, walking to the door. “And Isa hates my cinnamon twists.”

“Ew, Doc—nobody wants to hear about how Isa dips your dick into cinnamon,” Kevlar teased.

“I don’t know, I kinda do.” Nikita shrugged when her old man gave her an appalled glance. “Gotta keep it spicy.” She nodded toward Rubble. “Like Rubble and Jupiter.”

Rubble stopped pushing in the chairs around the table. “Don’t pull me into whatever mind orgy you got going with Kevlar. I’ve heard plenty from the two of you.”

Brewer found himself agreeing. Nikita and Kevlar were anything but discreet when it came to their rendezvous.

“And let’s not forget Rubble and Jupiter,” Brewer added when Rubble tried to escape. He wasn’t about to let him leave that easily.

Rubble glared at him. “And how many times have I caught you getting head under a table at the bar?”

He laughed, unable to disagree. “Hey, I can’t help if the ladies like a bartender.”

“Kinda like that Delphi girl.” Hawk pulled out a carton of cigarettes. “She has one fine pair of tits.”

“And that ass…. I’d like to—” Snoopy started to whistle just as his old lady, Legs, walked in. It quickly morphed to a sputtering cough, sending his brothers into a collective fit of snickers.

“You guys jawing all night or you gonna eat?” Queenie called from the doorway.

Brewer joined the tail end of the parade of hungry men and women.

“Hang on there, Brewer.”

Pausing at the threshold, he glanced over his shoulder. “What’s up, Prez?”

Reaper moved sluggishly toward him, favoring his left knee. “Should I be concerned about your relationship with Delphi Windsor?”

“Absolutely not.”

“Are you sure?”

Sighing, Brewer closed the door slightly. “Do I think it’s an issue? Yes and no. She and I are fire and ice. We’re connected in the worst possible way.”

“I saw you two kiss the other day.”

“So? Enemies kiss sometimes.” He brushed his fingers through his beard. It really needed another trim, but it’d have to wait. It wasn’t high on his list of priorities.

Reaper’s light blue eyes twinkled. “You’re right, they do. Just ask Queenie.”

Brewer cocked his brow. “Queenie?”

“Aye. She and I didn’t get off on the best foot.”

“My parents told me you stole her from another guy.”

Nodding, the club president glanced past Brewer. “And that’s true. She was with somebody else when I met her.” He chuckled. “I never said we got along. Quite the opposite, actually.”

“Then what’s the real story there? I’ve heard it five different ways.”

Reaper smiled secretively. “Boyo, I’ll tell you one day.”

“When?”

“When you’re in Macha’s cabinet.”
