“What do ye need, hen?” I growled into her neck. “Tell me.”

“Touch my clit.”

I released her breast and slipped my hand between her and the pillow, seeking out that little nub, all hot and hard.

She cried out, bucking her hips and pressing her back into me, her pussy unbelievably tight. I slammed into her as I swirled two fingers over her clit; once, twice, and then a third time. She came undone, chanting my name.

As the last tremor of her orgasm subsided, her tightness was almost unbearable. I called out her name, pouring myself into her and biting down on her neck to stop the rush of words coming out of how much I wanted her.

Loved her.

I collapsed on her; spent, covered in sweat, shaking. Still panting, Amanda wrapped her arm behind her to cup my arse, giving it a squeeze.

“Stuart, that was…”

I kissed the base of her neck. “I know,” I breathed. “Fucking amazing,”

She shifted her position and we both moaned.

“Don’t move, hen. Give this man a moment to recover.”

Amanda giggled. “Did I slay the Beast?”.

I nipped her earlobe. “Oh hen, the Beast was slayed the moment I laid eyes on you.”

Amanda caught my eye over her shoulder. She looked stunned, a flush on her cheeks. Words bubbled to the surface of my mind. I was about to confess every feeling, every thought I’ve had about her.

Too soon. I closed my eyes and slowly withdrew from her, causing both of us to moan again.

“I need to go clean up,” I mumbled, unable to look her in the eye, afraid of what I might confess.

I stumbled to the bathroom and dealt with the condom. I stared at myself in the mirror, surprised to see the goofy smile on my face. I looked relaxed, happy. I hadn’t seen that face for years.

I’d almost told her I loved her just before I came.

Too soon. Love doesn’t happen in a week.

I half-turned to look at my tailbone, glad to see the bruising didn’t look too bad in the mirror.

I looked up to find Amanda in the bathroom doorway. I kept on grinning.

“Hello.” I slowly looked her up and down, naked before me.

Amanda lightly traced a finger over my bruise with a slight frown. “I’m surprised you didn’t aggravate that just now.”

“I’m fine, hen. More than fine.”

I startled, seeing the bite mark on her shoulder. I ran a finger over it. “Hen, I got carried away -”

“I liked it,” Amanda purred, running her hands up my chest.

“Ye did?”

“Oh yes, I’ll be rating this highly on the spreadsheet.” She stood on tiptoes to kiss me. “I’m not a delicate flower, Stuart.”

“My sunshine,” I murmured against her lips. A small voice in my head warned me that the sun was also fire. But right now, as she backed me into the shower to clean up together, I was too consumed with being in this moment with her.

I had no idea of the burn that was to come.
