“Surprise,” he moaned. “Now ye know it’s true what’s under a Scotsman’s kilt.”

His cock thickened as I slowly stroked him. I took his length into my mouth, licking, sucking and lavishing him with attention. Stuart’s eyes caught mine, a look of wonder on his face, as he cried out my name with his release.

He fell to his knees and wrapped me in his arms, pulling me in a bone-crushing embrace.

“That was bloody amazing, hen.” He laid me down on the rug, his grin wolfish. “And now I need the taste of ye on my tongue.”

Later, we walked into the dining hall, smiling and holding hands. I didn’t care. I wanted to grab the microphone again and tell the whole world that I was falling in love with this man. I gripped his hand tighter at the thought. Stuart grinned and whispered dirty promises of what he was going to do to me when we got back to his flat.

My heart soared but still, fear niggled in my mind:Can you really trust him with your heart?

Chapter Fifteen

Stuart

“Ye brought a lass!”

Maisie McAlister looked Amanda up and down and my hand instinctively moved to the small of Amanda’s back.

“I sent ye a text, Gran, telling ye she was comin’.”

“I don’t do the sexting, Stuart!”

“Ye really need to get the terminology right, Gran!” I scrubbed my face. “A message! Oh, never mind.”

“Hello, Amanda.” James stopped in his tracks behind us. His eyes darted down to my hand hovering on her back and then to me. “Stuart.”

I dropped my hand from her back.

“Last night, Ma invited Amanda to come to lunch and meet the whole family.”

“She your girlfriend?” Gran piped up.

“Auditor, Gran.” Robert said, strolling up to the front door with wee Angus in his arms and a nappy bag over his shoulder. “From work.”

“Yes. I’m here from London.” Amanda replied, thankfully oblivious to my brothers’ pointed stares. “Pleased to meet you, Mrs McAlister.”

Gran slipped the wooden spoon into her apron and took Amanda’s hand in both of her own.

“Ye no an Englishwoman. Or Scottish.”

“Please to meet you. I’m Australian.”

“Ne’er met an Australian before,” Gran whispered, eyes bulging.

“Oh, Maisie! Get away wit ye!” Mum appeared in the doorway. “Kevin in the visitor’s centre last summer was from Oz!”

“Eh? He was fae Perth!”

“Aye! Perth, Australia.”

“They have one in Australia too?”

“It’s named after the Scottish town, ye mad old cabbage. Now, why is everyone standing out here? All the heat is escaping! And welcome, Amanda. Hope ye like the farm and the house. I’ll show ye the sheep after we eat one of them for lunch.”

Mum extricated Amanda from Gran’s hold and ushered her inside.

My brothers shuffled in behind them; Robert giving me a small shake of his head before pecking Gran on the cheek.
