My coat buzzed.My mobile…

I startled, the sound cutting through my post-coital fog. We both moaned.

“Leave it. Don’t move.” He—Harrison—said against my neck, sucking just below my earlobe.

I shivered, pulling away. “I have to … I should …” I moved and his cock, still hard, slipped out. We both moaned again.

My thighs trembled with the effort to get off his lap to reach my coat.

I pulled out my mobile. It was Sam. I dismissed the call, and immediately six texts appeared.

Sam: I’m getting tacos. See u at the food trucks? Want some?

Thirty minutes after that:

Sam: Leaving in 10

Sam: Where are you?? I went to the trailer and all I found was Phil’s suit and helmet.

Sam: Am now officially worried. Tell me where you are!

Sam: I called Uncle Bruce and he didn’t know where you are either.

Sam: Okay, I’m calling now

I swore. Uncle Bruce had also texted saying Sam was looking for me and if I was alright. I glanced at Harrison.

Was he a stranger anymore? After what we just did?

“I have to go.”

He narrowed his eyes slightly but said nothing. His face was unreadable.

“It’s my best friend,” I said. “She’s worried. I didn’t tell her where I was. And she’s my ride home.”

Harrison nodded, exhaling slowly. “I should, you know, deal with the condom.”

“Oh, yeah.” I cleared my throat. “I should clean up, too.”

He retrieved a pack of wet wipes from the centre console, took some and then handed me the packet. We fumbled in the dark beside each other, each of us trying to give the other privacy.

I buttoned up my dress and then reached for the door handle on the driver’s side. I struggled to find the right words to tell him how good this night was. But they didn’t come; panic did.

“I should go.” I mumbled over my shoulder and hurled myself from the car into the freezing night air.

I stumbled, my thighs trembling. The night air was icy, stinging my skin like a slap to my face. The enormity of what I had just done hit me. I pushed my hair back, looking around the carpark but not seeing anything, my mind reeling.

Holy shit, I just had mind-blowing sex with a stranger in the back seat of his car.

I took a deep breath, exhaled and turned back.

Harrison had loosely pulled his jeans up over his boxer briefs, leaving the fly undone. He’d grabbed my duffel bag and was holding it out for me.

“Thanks for everything,” I stammered. “It was great. Really great.”

Harrison placed his hand over mine on the bag strap.

“No, Anastasia.” He took my hand in his and held it to his mouth. “It was fantastic.”
