My heart pounded, but I was spared having to explain anything when Roscoe appeared from behind the curtains and screamed for some attention. I scooped up the little tortie.

“My goodness. Someone has some opinions.”

“I’m pretty sure that Roscoe is going to be over the moon to have Spud nearby more often,” said Tony. “And just in case the thought is flicking around in your head, you don’thave tostay with us, but we would really love it if you did. If you’d be more comfortable at your brother's, that's okay. This space will be here for you whenever you want it.”

God.

There were the waterworks again.

I wanted to stay.

Jasper and Gabe nestled around me, the three of us giving Roscoe some love while I collected myself.

“Is there anything you want to change?” Gabe asked.

“We tried to pick everything based on what we knew already,” Jasper added, “but anything can be redone if you’d like something else better.”

“It’s perfect,” I insisted.

“We have another new spot,” said Billie. “This one is much less likely to make you cry, but it's still pretty cool.”

I laughed pitifully and wiped my eyes. “Lead the way.”

The group of us trekked down to the walkout basement, and it was then that I noticed the fabulous glass greenhouse that now occupied the backyard. We stepped inside. The air was thick and warm, with plants tucked into every nook. They were still small, but it was easy to see how they would take over the space in a short while. The centre of the greenhouse held a large, round couch covered in pillows that would be absolutely divine in the winter. It was the perfect place to curl up and forget the chilly wind outside.

“This is gorgeous. And smells like heaven,” I said.

“Since we’re down here,” said Hana, “do you want to see what used to be in your room?”

The playroom.

“Yes, please.”

Back inside, they swung open the door to the prior guest room. I stopped short. My eyes darted to every space, unsure where to settle.

“Questions?” Gabe asked. “Comments? Concerns?”

“I don’t even know where to start,” I choked out.

Neatly organized shelves took up one wall and were filled with what I could only describe as the stock of a sex shop: toys of every caliber and colour, rows of candles, leather items I had never played with, and a wall of hooks that held a variety of cuffs, collars, and harnesses.

I squeezed my thighs together as my brain helpfully supplied the memories of when Hana had put the cuffs and collar on me and when Tony had poured wax on my skin.

There were a few pieces of furniture with sharp angles or sweeping curves. I could only assume that they were for sex, considering the room they were in and the fact that they didn’t look like any couches I had ever seen.

Hana sidled up to my back and pressed a kiss to my hair. “When your brain restarts, let me know what your thoughts are.”

I let out a squeak.

I couldn’t stop my wandering gaze. Curiosity warred with what I thought was a healthy dose of anxiety over the many, manypossibilities this room offered.

Tony's warm palm settled on the back of my neck, and the tension slowly leaked from my body.

Magic alpha hands.

“I don’t even know what everything is,” I finally managed to say.

Hana purred. “I’m more than happy to acquaint you.”
