Brodie rushed forward as the boxer shorts landed right on the candle and caught fire.

He emptied the jar of daisies and water over the flames and put them out right as Mel slid the patio door open.

The vision of her mum standing bug eyed with a bunch of flowers in her hand tipped Sophia over the edge.

Brodie’s soaked, slightly charred boxer shorts flew to his naked and quickly shrinking cock and Mel covered her face with the bunch of flowers in her hand.

“Guessing it’s a bad time?” she said, and it was all Sophia could stand.

She squealed in pain as the laugher took over, and Brodie turned to Mel with a deadpan expression.

“Not at all. We were just about to serve up the chicken.”

All three of them chuckled, and Mel shook her head. Her laughter turned to tears as she approached Sophia to wrap her arms around her neck.

“You don’t know how good it is to walk in on this. I mean, not this obviously,” she waved a hand in Brodie’s direction. “But this. All of this.”

She glanced around at the setting and inhaled a deep breath of contentment.

“I’m going to go now. Enjoy, okay? You deserve it, sweetheart.”

She backed away, avoiding any glances in Brodie's direction.

He breathed a sigh of relief then flushed crimson at Mel's parting shot.

“Buns are looking great, Brodie.”

Rolling his eyes, he turned to Sophia, who was silently giggling to herself.

“I’m glad you think that was amusing,” Brodie nodded.

“Hysterical, actually,” she corrected him.

“She’s always known how to pick her moments.”

“Smile,” Sophia beamed as she grabbed her phone and stole a picture of her husband with only a pair of burnt boxer shorts keeping his modesty intact.

“She was right about one thing, though.”

He rolled his eyes. Ignoring her to take the slightly charred chicken off the heat.

“You do have good buns,” she shrugged.

Brodie shook his head with a smile.

“Are you alright? Sorry about all the laughing.”

“Honestly, I feel better than I have in months. It hurts, but it was worth it,” she beamed.

“Are you still hungry? This is all slightly well done now.”

“It looks good to me. Get on over here.”

He spun around and set the boxers down to prepare the food.

“You can put some clothes back on if you want to.”

“Well, I wasn’t going to, but I better, in case your dad decides to drop in on us next.”
