“What is it, Alice?”

“It was you. You were the one who . . .”

Her words failed her, and I smiled knowingly. She was unable to voice it, but her body responded to mine instinctively. I pretended to ignore her wandering hand and took down a few makeshift notes before finally meeting her bewildered expression. “I believe we’ve made some progress today. We’re done here. I’ll see you again tomorrow, Alice.”

“Yes, Doctor,” she replied, breathless. Her soft whispered moan followed me down the hallway and into the bathroom.

I couldn’t get alone fast enough.

Taking my cock out, I gave the rigid length a long hard pull as I imagined sliding between her thighs and sinking into her heat. The scent of her pussy lingered on my fingers as I erratically drove my hips into my fist. I was well aware that I was acting like a fucking pervert. As disgusted as I was with myself, my jealousy was also blinding.

Alice had me teetering on the edge.

How could she betray me in that way? How could she tell me thathewas the only one who could save her when I was right here?

I. Was. Right. Here.

My mind rebelled as I shouted out a curse and my release unleashed with such fury I fell back against the wall. Involuntary streams of cum shot across the white tile as my body tightened and I shook with euphoria. My anger and my lust were intoxicating. A drug I would never give up.

Just as I would never give up Alice.

Wonderland couldn’t have her. I wouldn’t let that damn Cat have her either.

And I’d be damned if that so-called White Knight would ever claim what was mine.

I slammed my fist against the cool tile, hearing it crack beneath my bones. Pain ricocheted up my elbow, and I cried out as I leaned back against the stall door. My energy depleted, I crumbled to the floor.

Thiswas Wonderland.

A dark nightmarish prison in which no one could escape from. I was doomed to remain here, she was not. Not my sweet, caring Alice.

Cradling my head in my hands, I wept my frustration.

I knew what I had to do, and I was the only one who could do it. She was searching for a savior, and I was in a desperate hunt for redemption. The two raw and visceral desires clashed in an explosive need we both wouldn’t stop pursuing.

Sometimes you find what you need in the most unexpected of places. I found it in the form of a pretty blue-eyed girl with an innocent soul and a blemished heart.

She found a doctor, soul twisted and mad . . .as a Hatter.

Chapter 10

Zachary

Tension filledthe air this evening, the sharpness of the cold wind adding to my discomfort. Perhaps my anxiety had reached its peak as a result of the dangerous game I continued to play with my willing and ruthless adversary. Alice was no weak-minded fool. I left her alone today in fear that too much of my darkness would creep in and consume her. Even more frightening was the thought I may lose myself forever in the process.

The rain began to drip in tiny splashes as the frigid air finally gave way to the approaching storm. The droplets soon hammered heavily on the roof of the old building as thunder shook the foundation. A powerful bolt of lightning made the lights flicker off and on for a few seconds. Once they turned back on completely, I knew I wasn’t alone. Larger than life, my unexpected visitor stood in the reflection of the mirror where I had briefly gazed at my own.

You could always sense when he was around. He sucked the life out of anything that was in his proximity.

“Doctor Zachary Coburn.”

He pronounced my name slowly. Each syllable was rolled on his tongue like he enjoyed torturing me as long as possible with his monotone sarcasm.

“Dominic.” I turned to face my captor. “This is a surprise.”

It truly was, I wasn’t expecting to see his detestable presence for a few more months.

“Yes, well it seems it was time to pay you a visit. I wasn’t expecting this behavior. At least, not from you. But then again, there aren’t many men who can resist her, you know.”
