He smiles and envelopes me in his wings, cutting Zade and Cassius off.

“It’s indescribable.” He leans in closer, leaving only inches between us.

Mapping features with my gaze, I savor his closeness consuming me. Andre is the perfect blend of rugged and beautiful, and I wonder why angels have to look so good. I turn my attention away from the weight of his stare, nearly burning my irises, and regret doing so immediately. A huge boner presses against his pants, pointing directly at me. Now that I see the angel pitching a tent, the dirtiest thoughts cross my mind. I have so many questions. What does this mean? Does my soul give him a boner or is it me?

I know I shouldn’t do what my mind suggests at the mere sight of the angel’s erection, but there are a lot of things in my life I shouldn’t have done that I might as well just add to my pile of regrets. Swinging my body, I manage to lace my legs around his torso. He gasps in surprise and releases my sides to grab me firmly by my ass.

Andre blushes, his cheeks blooming with color. I can’t stop the smile overtaking my face. Dante and Kase would crack up over this moment. I know these angels are so far removed from mortals and earthly experiences that they’re virgins. His reaction proves he knows what’s happening but he probably can’t grasp as to why.

“I’m sorry,” Andre whispers, shifting me higher, and in doing so, causing me to grind against his erection until it rests under my ass. “I didn’t know this was possible.”

“Did seeing my soul really just give you a boner?” I don’t bother keeping my voice low. It would serve him right that the brethren overhear.

Andre swallows and purses his lips together. “It’s out of my control and I apologized. What else would you like me to do?”

Heat blooms across my body. He walked right into my dirty thoughts. It’s almost embarrassing that he doesn’t realize that his question has a slew of inappropriate responses I can give him.

I channel my devilish side, now knowing that they won’t smite me. “Show it to me. Your dick looks huge through your pants. If you’re going to penetrate my soul with your gaze, might as well let me see it. I think it’s a fair exchange of intimacy.”

Andre’s eyes flicker with light, and he doesn’t respond.

“Release her. Now!” Cassius yells from outside the privacy of Andre’s wings. “She’s trying to get to you.”

“It’s just a body, Cass,” Andre murmurs, still keeping me hidden. “There is nothing wrong with curiosity.”

Oh, shit.

Warm excitement slicks between my legs. He obviously doesn’t know that nothing about him is just a body. He’s like sex on a stick, and just the thought of seeing him in all of his naked heavenly glory turns me on.

What would Kase and Dante say? What would they want me to do? I mean, it was their plan for me to seduce angels after all, but now I really want to talk to them about it.

“Nothing wrong at all if we both agree,” I say, smiling. My devils would want me to use this to their advantage. Bowing closer, I brush my lips to his ear. “Maybe if you get your brethren to give us some space, I will let you take a peek at me. I’m not wearing any panties.”

His fingers tighten on my ass and a groan escapes his mouth. “Raven.”

“Let Lucifer’s seductress go, Andre. Now!” Cassius hollers, his voice stinging my soul. “Don’t force me to make you.”

Andre spins, sending the world blurring in white. My ass hits the floor, cushioned only by thin blankets. I whip my attention around the room, trying to orient myself to the sudden relocation from Andre’s arms and onto the floor. Bright light explodes through the room, and I shield my gaze.

“I don’t know what you think you’re doing, but it won’t work.” Cassius stands alone a few feet away with his feathers ruffling on his back. Both Zade and Andre have vanished.

“What won’t work? Getting you guys to realize that I’m not whatever monster you think I am?” I ask, pressing my palms to the floor to get to my feet. “You know if I was, you’d be able to kill me. Micah would’ve killed me too, but he hasn’t. Nor will he ever. He wants to save me.”

Cassius summons heavenly power in his palms, the ball of light reminiscent of what I imagine the sun looking like if he shrunk it and pulled it from the sky. “You’re far beyond redemption, Raven, and Micah will find his way back. And when he does, you will see how wrong you are. Until then, you will stay here. I will not risk you falling into the hands of the devils again.”

With his words, he throws the ball of light at me. I dodge out of the way as it engulfs the place in pure white nothingness. The light fades, my vision clearing.

Cassius is gone, and for the first time in a long time, I feel alone. But I don’t feel hopeless. The angels have made a grave mistake.

Now that I know deep down in my soul that they are a part of all of this, I can use it to save my soul.

A part of Hell’s Kingdom will be mine.
