Dante caresses his fingers over the top of my hand. “Far from it. I’d love to watch you bang the Hell right into Andre.” He traces his fingers up my arm and back to my mouth, stretching my bottom lip. “But these lips? They’re mine and Kase’s.”

Kase slips his hand under me and squeezes my butt-cheek. “This ass is ours too.”

“The fuckers must earn their share of our pretty soul.” Kissing me again, Dante smiles against my mouth. “Isn’t that right, Raven.”

“Mmmhmm,” I murmur. “They must know their places.”

“It’s the only way we’ll ever share you.” Combing my hair behind my ear, Kase meets my gaze. “They must be worthy.”

“Don’t think we won’t punish the hell into you if you make a mistake. Understand?” Dante asks.

Damn. All that does is make me want to fuck up. I like his kind of punishment, and we both know it.

“Now that we all agree, we need to figure out how to handle Lucian. He’s ready to break free from Hell over this, and we can’t let him. Neither of us are willing to take his place.” Kase shifts on the bed, the lust gone from his eyes with his words. “I was thinking of cutting ourselves off from Hell, but we need access to complete our mission.”

“Then what do you think we should do?” I ask, pursing my lips.

“We need to give him Micah, Raven. Lucian must be reminded of what our mission is—”

I shake my head. “What? No.”

“This was always the plan. He must learn his place and claim his throne in Hell. If we don’t, we’ll go to war. The saviors will take advantage of the unrest between us. Lucian will do whatever he can to get you to break the contract. But giving him Micah? It’ll prove you are capable of the task. He will be required to back off. The agreement says you must get the brethren to fall, and now one has. There isn’t a time limit on the others.” Dante swings his legs off the bed and gets to his feet. “If he tries to say otherwise, he’ll be breaking his own terms. Either way, this is our chance to keep him at bay.”

But can I just hand Lucian Micah? I knew he’d take a throne in Hell, but I didn’t consider what it meant to do so. What if he resents me or tries to refuse? What if the angel—the devil—I started to feel a connection to vanishes?

I guess I will find out.

A groan sounds from the hallway, and Kase stands beside Dante. The two of them share a look and abandon me on the bed without another word. They obviously want to beat me to Micah to tell him what they expect from him now.

If a soft glow didn’t illuminate from the window, I would chase after them. Grabbing a dagger from the case on the wall, I pad my way across the room to the window and fling the blanket away. I expect to face Cassius’s righteous, asshole scowl, but no one is there. The angel, whoever it may be, is too afraid to face me.

Fury burns through me, and I rush to the slider and yank the blanket down. I refuse to let the saviors think I’ll hide in fear. That I’ll stay in the protective shadows of my devils. No, that’s not happening.

I slide open the door and step onto the patio, feeling the sensation of someone watching me. I glower and search the sky for the silhouette of wings, for bright light, or anything that alerts me to angels.

“You cowards!” I shout, fisting my hands. “Show yourselves. Face me!”

But nothing happens. The angels stay hidden.

“This isn’t over, you assholes. I will show you what it’s like to be denied mercy. You are unworthy of any power. I’m going to prove it, even if it’s the last thing I ever do. You can try to send me to Hell, but it won’t save you from me. You’ll see. This isn’t over. You’ll be the ones weak and useless at my feet. Only then will I ever help you rise again.” I spin around, glowering at the sky.

“You tell them, pretty soul,” Dante says from the doorway inside. “It’s fucking over for them. They’re going to enjoy every second of your punishment.”

Dante’s right, but it’s not just the brethren’s purpose that is over. It’s the saviors’ divine rule over humanity and the world.

It’s done.

Things in the universe are about to change, and it starts right here in this apartment. With my angel-kissed soul.

The change starts with me.

Chapter 26

Date with the Devils

RAVEN

I KNOCK MY knuckles on the doorframe of the bathroom. Micah sits on the edge of the tub with his elbows resting on his knees. I hesitate for a second, seeing that he’s completely naked, his towel draped over the shower curtain rod above his head.
