“Days?” she asks, frowning. “I can’t wait days.”

Davian nudges my arm. “One look won’t hurt any.”

“It might help him heal. It worked for me. They are bonded.” Kellan materializes by the stairs, shaking the snow from his hair. The guy can’t seem to sit still. I don’t know if it’s because he rejected the Twilight Cove pack or what, but something leaves him on edge.

Slater nods his head. “He’s right. One peek won’t hurt. Tristan, why don’t you take her and grab Adam for Ravi. We need to do a sweep of the territory to ensure no one else has trespassed, so we can create a new boundary for Sunset Pointe. They’re going to be sharing our land.”

Sharing land? Whoa. What does that even mean?

“And our omega,” Ravi adds, smirking.

The cocky bastard.

“Oh, stop. I know what you’re doing. Don’t instigate.” Eliana tugs her hand from Ravi, sauntering across with room, swaying her hips. The little tease. She’s poking at the alpha on purpose. “Tristan knows I’m his. So does Davian. If this is going to work, you all need to recognize that.”

“Whatever makes you happy,” I say, opening my arms for her.

She hops up, wrapping her legs around me. I groan deep in my throat at her closeness and bury my face into her hair. “You.”

My soul howls with her comment, and I carry her away from the others, knowing that if I don’t, they might steal her attention back. Slater whistles, calling for the rest of our pack. Cool air blows in from outside, and I hug Eliana tighter.

“I’m so relieved you decided to stay,” I murmur, lowering my voice as we enter the hallway leading to the room with Chase. “Our future as a pack will be incredible. All we need to do is go to Blackshell and talk to the alpha, and maybe we can get Evander back too. What do you think?”

Eliana doesn’t respond to me, remaining silent as she rests her head on my shoulder. “It sounds like a good backup plan.”

Backup plan?

“You know I don’t want to stay. We need to return to the human world.” Eliana presses her lips to my throat, thinking the words to me.

“Eliana, are you sure?” My throat tightens with my question. “You know I’ll follow you anywhere, but—”

Brushing her lips to mine, Eliana silences me with a kiss. I give in to her, kissing her deeper, gliding my tongue over hers until someone clears their throat behind me. I sigh a long breath through my nose and ease away from Eliana. Adam stands in the doorway to Chase’s room, leaning on the frame.

“Little badass, you’re going to give Chase a wet dream if you keep it up. The poor guy is now pitching a tent in his sleep.” Adam curls his lips in a half-smile, teasing Eliana.

Blush blooms across Eliana’s cheeks, reddening her face. Wiggling, she shimmies from my arms and back to her feet. Adam doesn’t get the chance to brace himself before she charges and flings her arms around him.

“Come here, Tris. You know I’ve missed your ass too,” Adam calls, holding out his arm. “Don’t be shy.”

I laugh, my voice echoing through the air. This fucker.

“Tristan is far from shy,” Eliana says, grinning at me from over her shoulder. An image floods my mind as she thinks about our threesome with Kellan.

“What the fuck? Seriously?” Adam raises his eyebrows. “I missed so much. Damn.”

Eliana cups his cheeks and kisses him softly. “We’ll catch up. Promise. But first...how’s Chase? Don’t lie to me.”

“He’s good. Better than he was. But tired. Why don’t you see for yourself?” Adam tugs her along into the bedroom.

I remain in my spot, watching the two of them disappear into Chase’s room. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t seem to follow. A part of me knows better than to think this, but I suddenly can’t stop thinking about Eliana being pregnant and how it might change everything. She just admitted that she wants to leave, and I yearn to stay by her side, but I fear for what could happen.

“Hey, everything okay?” Adam stands a few feet away, giving me a long once-over. I hadn’t heard him come out of the room. “You look like you’ve been reprimanded for pissing on the carpet or something.”

I shake my head with a groan. “Nah, man. I’m just...thinking. A lot has been—”

“Adam! Adam!” Eliana’s calls cut me off, and I whip my attention to Chase’s room.

I rush beside Adam and charge into the room, catching sight of Chase on the bed, his body cracking and shifting, slowly changing into his wolf form. Eliana clutches the side of the bed. Her wide eyes remain glued to Chase, her body frozen with fear.
