But this must be done.

It must be a deal between me and Dagan only.

It’s the only way to take my eternity back.

It’s the only way I can help Heaven and humanity win.

The Deal

Dagan

Ican’thelpstaringat her. With her blond hair flowing in the cool breeze, she reminds me of how I saw her as an angel in the vision Adriel shared with me. She is the most enchanting creature to ever walk in Heaven, Hell, or Earth. I find myself mesmerized in the depths of her violet eyes, the startling color unlike anything possible on Earth.

And she’s mine. My queen. My warrior. My future.

She tries to fight it, but even I can now sense her attraction to me. The more we are within each other’s presence, the weaker the wall she built between us becomes. It won’t be long before she realizes the truth of her destiny, and I can experience what true divinity is with our bonding of mind, body, and very beings. Just the thought of her body entangling mine shoots lust straight to my cock, pulsing my body with unending need and desire.

“Dagan, did you hear me?” Riella stabs her fork into the sleeve of my suit, missing my arm by a centimeter. Damn, the feisty fallen angel sure knows how to grab my attention.

“Hmm...what’s that? Sorry, I was thinking about what a delicious future we’ll have together, my queen. I can sense your desire for my power, and it’s getting to me in a good way.” I glide my tongue over my lip, drawing her attention to my mouth. “There is no need to be ashamed of your needs. Embrace them. We can take amazing care of each other.” Like how I’ll teach her exactly what I want as I thrust into her, claiming her as mine.

She glares at me but not before I see her pupils dilate for a moment. She can protest all she wants, but we both know she’s mine, and the more she fights it, the harder I get. I always did love a good game of cat and mouse. And I never lose.

“I’m not ashamed. I’m annoyed. You’re conceited and delusional if you think there could be anything beyond what we can gain from each other. That’s the only thing I crave. What you can give me.” Shaking her head, Riella ignores the rest of my comment. “And as I was saying, we need to work out the details of this...arrangement. I’m only here because you have something I want, and it’s easier to deal with your twisted ideas of our future than kill a thousand of your minions to piece together the answers I need.”

A smile creeps across my face. I love desperation. “So, you’ll be allying with me in exchange for answers? This is splendid. I can’t wait to—”

Riella reaches across the table and silences me with her hand. “Stop getting ahead of yourself. I’m not going anywhere with you. That’s non-negotiable. However, I will be willing to spend a few more hours with you.”

Taking a sip of my whiskey, I hold the tumbler up and offer cheers with a chuckle. “Do you really think a few hours will buy you all the answers you seek? Please don’t insult me. I’m not a prince without good reason.”

She throws down her napkin with a huff. Standing up, she wields her pathetic heavenly sword, no longer glowing with her angelic light. She might as well threaten me with a butter knife. “Insult you? Are you kidding me? You’re despicable to think I’ll ever consider bowing as your bride for answers. I—”

“I didn’t say you’d have to bow. You want to negotiate a deal, then let’s be fair. You’re what I want, and I have things you’re willing to bargain for. Let’s be reasonable. Giving you answers about the deal I’ve made with another is far more costly than a couple hours of your time.”

She flares her nostrils, heaving a couple deep breaths. Sliding back into her seat, she rests her elbows on the table and conceals her blade. She knows I’m right and must come to terms with it. The more off-balance I get her, the easier this will be for me to get exactly what I want.

“So, what is it that you want that is within reason?” Riella locks her violet gaze to mine. “Tell me your stipulations.”

Do I want her as my bride?

Hell yeah, I do. This woman is amazing. That should be my only stipulation.

Will I push for it right now?

Hell, no. I know better. She’s not ready to give in to her darkest desires.

Reaching out, I risk the safety of my hand to rest it over hers. “Well, the answer is simple. I want you to stay with me. Then I’ll tell you the reason behind your betrothal to me.”

Jerking away as if I burn her, Riella pushes back in her chair. Her features twist in rage as she gives me the most murderous look. Gritting her teeth, she says, “I already told you I am not, nor will ever be, yours. Your stipulation is absurd and just as unfair. I knew this was a trick! You think you can offer me an unreasonable deal, yet you call me out with mine? This is pointless.”

Standing up, she expands her wings, ready to give up. I might have pushed her too far, but I had to. I needed to find out what I can get away with. It’s in my very nature to test the boundaries and toe the line of what is acceptable in her eyes. How else will I learn to read her?

“Wait, my warrior. You’re getting worked up for no reason.” I hold my hands up in surrender. Her anger only gets my dick that much harder. I can’t wait for her to realize how perfect we are for each other, and to be able to plunge it into her all night long. But of course, first, she’ll have to be punished for her insolence. Taught who is her king. “None of this is a trick. It’s a negotiation. Testing an open offer just as you had done. Since you clearly refuse to give me all your time, how about you stay with me a year without the Almighty awful others, and then at the end of your stay. I’ll give you everything you want?” If she even still wants it.

She lowers herself back into her chair and licks her luscious pink, pouty lips. “No deal. If I stay with you without them, you will drag me to Hell the first chance you get.”
