Without thinking, he reached over and wiped it away with his thumb, then left his hand there, cupping her cheek.

She leaned into his hand so slightly that he wasn’t sure if he had only imagined it.

“This will be your first time,” he heard himself murmur. “We’ll have to take it slowly.”

“What do we do first?” she asked.

He closed his eyes against a surge of unexpected lust at her innocent question.

“Tiago?” she whispered. “Did I say something wrong?”

“No,” he whispered back, opening his eyes. “You’ve done everything just right. But I would like to kiss you now. Would that be okay?”

She nodded, her eyes on his lips in a way that made him want to rip off her robe and show her how he could use his mouth.

Easy. It’s her first time.

He leaned in slowly, giving her time to back away if she was frightened.

But she held perfectly still, waiting for him, as if she were holding her breath.

He brushed his lips across hers lightly once and pulled back.

She smiled and tilted her chin up, as if she wanted more.

He leaned in again, pressing his lips to hers gently but firmly this time.

She froze for an instant, then kissed him back, her soft lips pressing to his in a sweet welcome.

He hummed his approval against her mouth, then ran his tongue along the seam of her lips.

She gasped slightly and he took advantage, sliding his tongue just inside her mouth. She tasted like wild mint and honey.

He could feel her body responding to his invasion, softening as her mouth opened further for him.

He fed on her as gently as he could bear, thumbing her mouth open more.

She was shy at first, then her tongue slid against his until they were dancing together.

When his body began to pound with need, he pulled back slightly.

Alexis’s eyes were slightly hazy as she gazed up at him, her lips dark and swollen with his kisses.

“More,” she murmured.

He kissed her harder this time, ravishing her mouth, letting go of her cheek to clutch her shoulders.

She submitted to his kiss, following his lead, and sending him too close to the edge.

He tore himself away.

“Lie down,” he told her, maybe too forcefully.

She lay back onto the pillows, her hazy, blue eyes still fixed on his.

He crawled up beside her and ran a finger down her neck to where the robe pulled together, hiding her from him.

She bit her lip as they both watched the path of his finger.
