Logan chuckled. “Are you taking charge?”

“Do you mind?”

“Not at all.”

Logan propped himself up against the headboard. I threw a leg over him and eased myself down onto his cock.

“Aria,” Logan growled. He squeezed my breasts before he moved his hands down to my hips and gripped me as I began to fuck him. “Holy shit, Aria, you’re a goddess.”

“You make me feel like I could do and be anything,” I said.

Logan lifted himself up on one hand and cupped the back of my head. “You can.”

He kissed me and met my movements, slamming himself up deep inside me. I broke the kiss and arched my head back as I moaned. Logan nipped my neck and growled against it as our bodies meshed together.

With him, I felt no bodily shame, the nasty taunts disappeared, and I knew I was desired not just for my body, but for my mind as well. Logan brought confidence out in me that I never dreamed of having before. However, I wasn’t blind to the fact that our conversation this evening had been stilted. We’d stuck to small talk and sex and not much more. I wasn’t sure if it was my fault or his, and perhaps I’d never know. But I had him for now, and if I wanted to have him in the future, I would have to come to terms with a little secrecy.

I felt a sharp but wondrous pain and saw Logan nip my right nipple. He soothed it with his tongue before sucking it deep into his mouth. I arched into him as my pussy began to quiver. “Oh, yes! I-I’m going to—”

Logan groaned, sending ripples through my breast straight to my pussy. My orgasm was strong enough to pull Logan’s from him as well.

Logan released my nipple and kissed me. I felt a tremor roll through him. He pressed his forehead against mine and waited until I met his gaze. “No matter what, Aria, you’re mine forever. Don’t forget it, okay?”

I wondered what he meant, but I nodded and didn’t say anything.

Logan rolled me onto the bed and pulled me against him. He pulled the throw blanket over us and before I knew it, we were sound asleep.

A soft knock on the door to our hotel room awoke me the next morning. I slowly opened my eyes and the sheet slipped from my naked body as I sat up.

I noticed the empty space on the bed beside me.

Another knock came. “Room service.”

I quickly wrapped myself in a dressing gown from the bathroom—noticing it was also empty—and answered the door. A smartly-dressed young man carried a tray into the room. On the tray was a covered plate, a fresh croissant, a glass of orange juice, a cup of coffee, and a small bunch of multi-coloured roses in a vase. The man set the tray down on the small side table and took the galosh off the plate to reveal bacon and eggs with sauteed mushrooms and spinach. He bowed at me slightly. “Enjoy, ma’am.”

“Thank you. I think . . ..”

I watched, mouth agape, as the server exited the room.

The room that I was alone in.

I glanced around and noticed that Logan’s belongings were gone. I glanced back at the breakfast spread and this time, I noticed a tiny envelope stuck in the middle of the roses. My throat tightened as I plucked it up and took a card out of it.

Aria, I shouldn’t have done this.

I’m so sorry.

Please enjoy this breakfast and take it as my apology.

- Logan xx.

Tears welled in my eyes.

Sorry.

Sorry for what? For taking me out? For making love to me and telling me I was everything to him and then ditching me without a word? For not waking up with me like a true lover would?

I glared, bleary-eyed, at the beautiful spread before me as if it was poison. Then, with a roar that erupted from deep within my belly, I threw the entire tray from the table to the floor. I quickly dressed and checked-out, determined to never let Logan Newcombe get to me ever again.
