“I’ll explain everything inside, promise,” Cillian said. “But Dante got away when the police invaded his bar. They got the two other little girls though, thank God,” Cillian said.

“There were more?” Viv asked. The thought of any young girls having to go through what Chloe did, made her sick. Knowing that they had more than just Chloe was awful.

“I didn’t think I’d ever see you again, Love,” Cillian admitted. Hearing her call her his special nickname made her heart beat a little faster.

“Cillian,” she whispered.

“No, let me finish, Viv,” he said. Cillian framed her face with his big hands, pushing her hair back from her face. “I thought that I wasn’t going to get out of there. They had me in a cage with Hart and Havoc and I had to fight for our freedom. The whole time I was getting the shit pounded out of me all I could think about was you and our babe,” he said, putting his hand over her belly. Viv covered it with her own and they stood like that for what felt like forever, sharing the same space, breathing the same air.

“I love you, Viv,” Cillian whispered. “I know you promised to marry me and God, I hope you want to do that because you’ve fallen for me too, but I get it if this is too much, too soon.”

Viv went up on her tiptoes to brush her lips against his own. “I love you too, Cillian.” She wouldn’t give him anything but the truth.

“Really?” he questioned. Viv giggled and nodded.

“Really,” she confirmed. “I have for a while now. I’ve just been too chicken to say it out loud. I want to marry you because I love you. I just worried you didn’t feel the same way. You’re the type of man who does the right thing and I guess a part of me worried you were marrying me because of the baby.”

“No,” Cillian breathed. “You’re my family now, Viv. You both are my whole life.” Cillian pulled her back against his body and kissed his way into her mouth. “You two love birds about done?” A guy walked up to the porch and brushed straight past them, giving Viv a wink and a smile. He had pulled up behind Repo’s truck in his pick-up and she didn’t even hear him.

“Havoc,” Cillian said. “This is my Viv.”

“Good to meet you, Viv,” Havoc said on his way into the house. “We’re burning daylight, man,” Havoc said. “You coming in?”

“Cillian, we can talk about all of this later,” Viv offered. Whatever the guys had to plan sounded as if it had an expiration time stamp on it and if she wasn’t missing anything, that time was sun-up. Cillian nodded and wrapped a protective arm around her.

“Come on, I’ll introduce you to the rest and then we can figure out what the hell we’re doing next. You trust me, Viv?” he asked.

“With my life,” she agreed, smiling up at him.

Cillian introduced her to everyone as “his Viv” and she nearly had to stop herself from swooning. She loved meeting Savage’s family and kids. She had heard so much about them. The only person she wasn’t able to meet was Chloe since the doctor had given her a small sedative to help her rest. Viv saw the sadness in Savage, Bowie, and Dallas and felt horrible for them. She already felt an unexplained protectiveness for her unborn child. Savage’s daughter had been through hell and Viv didn’t know what she would do if someone came after her child. She saw how Cillian had gone in to save Chloe and she took some comfort in knowing he’d do the same for their baby if push came to shove. Honestly, the only thing getting her through all of this was knowing that Cillian had her and would do everything in his power to keep her and their unborn baby safe.

“You look worn out, Viv,” Cillian said. “How about you rest and I’ll let you know when we’re ready to move out.” She trusted Cillian to make the hard decisions for her but Viv wanted to be a part of this discussion.

“No,” she said. “I’d like to be a part of this.” Cillian wrapped an arm around her waist.

“You need to rest for the babe,” Cillian whispered.

Viv smiled up at him, “I promise to rest later.” Cillian nodded, not pushing her further. She was thankful that he let it go with the others pretending not to listen in to their conversation. Viv could feel all eyes on them.

“Listen up,” Savage said. Viv was pretty sure the big guy was used to people doing exactly what he ordered. “We have about four hours until the sun comes up and we need to figure out our next move.” Savage nodded to Hart who took over their little make-shift meeting.

“Before we went in, I activated the tracker on my cell and my guys heard everything we were saying. When they took my phone, my team got ready to move in. They showed up just after we were clear, going in and making arrests. They got most of the guys who were there and both girls they were auctioning off with your daughter.” Hart looked at Savage. “They were only eleven and thirteen.”

“Fuck,” Savage growled.

“The good news is, they’ve been reunited with their parents. The bad news is there are more girls out there and Dante and about six of his guys got out,” Hart said.

“Shit,” Havoc said. “So, Dante’s probably figured out what happened by now and he’ll be on the warpath. Hell, he told us exactly what he’d be taking from each of us if we double-crossed him. My gym,” Havoc whispered.

“I have security measures in place for my sister—that’s who Dante found at my place, taking care of my dog. He won’t be able to find her; I’ve made sure of that,” Hart said.

“What did Dante say he’d threaten to take of yours Cillian?” Viv asked. She was afraid she already knew the answer to her question though.

“You and the baby,” Cillian whispered. “That’s why I had Repo bring you here. I can’t let you out of my sight, Honey. Dante’s coming after all of us and we need a damn good plan to bring that asshole down.”

“He won’t stop there,” Savage said. “He considers my daughter his property and he’ll want her back. I think we need to come up with solutions and take a vote,” Savage said.
