“More than a fight. I had to all but beg her to move in with me and Bella and when she drug her feet, I had to move her shit over to my place, forcing her hand. Now, I’ve admitted that I’ve fallen in love with her and she refuses to believe me. She says she needs time. What the fuck does that even mean?” he asked.

“Don’t ask me,” Repo said. “When Cat gave me trouble, I just double-downed and tied her to me. I’m betting you’re not ready for another kid though, so getting Trinity pregnant might not be the best plan.”

“No,” Ace agreed. The image of Trinity pregnant with his kid made him hard and if he had his way, he’d tie her to him by any means necessary. He was pretty sure that she’d balk at the idea of bringing another kid into the world when they were still trying to figure out how to take care of Bella.

“You just gotta keep pushing, man. Don’t let her run away from you. Don’t let her hide. Where is she now?” Repo asked, looking around the bar.

“She took my SUV and ran,” Ace grumbled.

“You know where she went?” Repo asked.

“Back to our place. She said that I should stay here and catch up with you guys. Instead, I’m sitting here sulking, wishing I was with her. I’m a fucking mess,” Ace moaned.

“No—just in love,” Repo said. “How about you let me give you a lift home and you can start practicing my advice—don’t let her run anymore.”

“Deal,” Ace agreed. “I appreciate the beer, the advice, and most of all, the company,” he said.

“Always, man,” Repo agreed. “Let’s get you home to your stubborn woman.”
