Ethan

Ethan sat in the back corner of their favorite little Italian place; Ella between the two of them, and he had to admit, he was more content than he had felt in a damn long time. He was just thankful that his plan to throw Ella in the mix between he and Linc had actually worked out. It was a risk, but one he’d take all over again, especially knowing how things had worked out so well between the three of them.

But now came the tricky part where they had to navigate some relationship rules if he was going to be daring enough to call what the three of them were doing together a relationship. He just hoped that the other two didn’t mind his assumptions because he was about to dive in with both feet.

He waited until they ordered their food and when they finally got the bottle of wine that he had ordered, he decided it was time to broach the topic. “So, rules,” he said. Linc groaned and Ella giggled at his theatrics. “You know that I’m right about us doing this, man,” he said.

“I know, but I was hoping to at least choke down some dinner before we headed headfirst into the rules segment of the evening,” Linc said.

“Let’s just skim the surface and we can save the deeper stuff for when we get home if you’d like,” Ethan offered. Linc nodded and rolled his eyes and Ethan was sure that was as good as he was going to get from his guy.

“Fine,” he said, “proceed,” he ordered.

“I’m assuming that we’re all still good with the three of us staying at my place for the time being,” Ethan said.

“Yep,” Linc agreed.

“I’m good with that,” Ella said.

“Great,” Ethan said. “I don’t want to put a timeline on this thing. I would like for it to be as organic as the three of us getting together last night was.”

“Agreed,” Linc said, and Ella nodded.

“See, this isn’t too painful, right?” Ethan teased.

“Let’s just get on with the rest of it,” he said.

“Fine, I don’t want the three of us to see other people,” Ethan said. The thought of either Linc or Ella being with someone else really pissed him off. They had only spent one night together so far, and that shouldn’t be a deal-breaker for him, but it was.

“Honestly, this is the first date I’ve had in months,” Ella admitted. “So, I’m good with not seeing anyone but the two of you.”

“I’m fine with it too,” Linc agreed. “You know better than anyone that my dating life has been less than stellar lately. So, I’m good with the three of us being exclusive.”

“Perfect,” Ethan hummed.

“Last rule for now,” he said. “If this is going to work between the three of us, we need to be able to be completely honest with each other. No secrets. Not from each other—got it?” he asked. “If you aren’t sure of something, just ask,” he said. Ella nodded, “Who’s in charge?” she asked.

“You mean, who’s going to boss you around in bed?” Linc asked.

“Yes,” she said. “Who’s going to be in charge?”

“We will both be in charge of you and your care, honey,” Ethan said. “Linc and I are both dominant, but Linc likes to submit to me, and vice versa sometimes. For example, this morning, I submitted to him.”

“Wait—you two were together this morning after I left?” she asked.

“Yeah, is that okay?” Linc asked. “I guess we should have discussed rules about the three of us spending one on one time together before we jumped in the shower with each other.”

“Shit—you two had sex in the shower this morning and I missed it?” Ella whispered.

“I’m not sure if you’re upset that you missed out or if you’re pissed we were together without you, honey,” Ethan said.

“I’m upset that I missed out,” she admitted. “If I’m being one hundred percent honest, I like watching the two of you together. It’s hot.”

“So, one on one time together is okay with you then?” Linc asked.

“Will that mean that I get one on one time with each of you?” she asked.

“Yes, if that’s something that you’d like,” Ethan agreed.
