“That’s enough,” I said in a low, tight voice.

“Jude, leave it,” Ian said.

Tali folded into Mo, her head on his shoulder, as he sang “Love Me Tender.” She shook with laughter, pushing at his chest as he held her close.

“You shouldn’t be touching her like that,” I gritted out.

Mo’s stupid singing stopped, and both Tali and he looked at me with shock, like they’d forgotten they were in public.

“What did you say?” he asked, like he hadn’t heard me correctly.

“Don’t touch her like that, man. It’s so fucking tacky. Don’t you know when a woman isn’t interested?”

Tali lifted her head from his shoulder and patted his cheek. “You’re fine, Mo.”

Mo’s eyes narrowed on me. We’d gotten along just fine until now. Now…well, I felt more violent than I had since my addict days. A red haze edged my vision, and I’d have bruises from how hard I dug my fingers into my thighs.

When he finally released her, her cheeks were pink, and the little shit seemed really fucking proud of himself. Tali’s eyes landed back on mine, and her mouth parted when she saw the storm brewing just beneath my surface.

She rose from her seat, smoothing a hand over her hair. “Excuse me, I need to use the restroom.” She gave me one final look, which I couldn’t even begin to decipher, then disappeared into the house.

Mo watched her go before turning to the group with a grin. “She loves me.”

Ian groaned, and I was up on my feet, stalking in the direction Tali had gone. I had some things to say, and it was past time she listened.
