Yeah, he was stick-a-fork-in-me done, but Ian was a good guy and—along with his two business partners and roommates, Hudson and Ryker—ran a safe, clean, discreet club that Jethro was infinitely grateful for. If there was something he could do to help the guy out, he would.

“Tonight’s the littles’ Christmas party and Riggs volunteered to be Santa but he’s got the stomach flu and so does Flutter.”

Well, shit. Jethro could see the ask coming already and while he wasn’t thrilled about it because he’d rather kick his feet up and have a beer before hitting the hay, he’d do it.

“I don’t suppose you could come down to the club and bring your Santa suit?” Ian wheedled. “I know you’ve got one.”

“Of course I do.” Pfft, what did Ian think, that he ran some cut rate bargain basement production? No, he took the quality of his Santa appearances very seriously. “I can be there in like an hour if that’s alright. Trust me, you want me to shower and air the suit out a bit first.”

Ian snorted. “Thanks, man, you’re the best. And hey, I don’t suppose any of your elves from that event are still hanging around and are the sort who could be trusted to help out? We’re kinda short-staffed here so I can’t spare anyone to help hand out presents.”

Jethro glanced over his shoulder toward where Sable was wiping down tables after having cleared away the food that had been out. She must think he was such a slacker for only having swept half the room so far. But also? The laugh he let out picturing Sable at Hive during a littles party was basically a bark.

“Definitely not. Nope, not at all. They’ve all gone home except one and…let’s just say I would be less surprised to see a pig-drawn sleigh hauling Santa through the air than I would be to see her at a place like Hive. No shade on your club, it’s just that this woman’s so cold she might have an icicle permanently embedded in her ass.”

“Then maybe she would like it here,” Ian quipped, and Jethro laughed again before the other man sighed. “Well, we have one person we can try but if she’s not free, then you’re on your own.”

“No worries, I can handle it.”

“Thanks, you’re a lifesaver.”
