Pinching her lips between her teeth, she made her eyes big. “Well, I got my reward.”
“And you’ll get one every time I change your diaper.”
Oh. Well, that was certainly an incentive. Perhaps her mixed up feelings about it wouldn’t go away, but at least she’d get a reward for enduring it. She could live with that, she thought.
“Um, okay, that sounds really good.”
“Thought you’d like that. But there was something else you wanted to say.”
