“Yes, what?”

“Yes, sir?” I questioned. “Or do you prefer daddy?”

“Hm,” he pondered that one without skipping a beat. “I think I like sir.”

“Make me come, sir,” I demanded. “Fuck me like you need.”

He snaked his hand around and fucked his hand over my clit in time with his thrusts, ruthlessly dragging me to my next orgasm, my scream followed by a wail as he smacked my ass again. I was so overwhelmed with emotion that I could barely function, and when he filled me with his seed, I could do little more than take it.

“All yours, Nyx,” Leven said as he pulled out. “Fuck, look how good she looks full of our cum.”

“Roll back over, Vanya,” Nyx said softly as he settled between my legs. He sank into me slowly, more gentle than the others and my bruised pussy was grateful for it. His pale-blue eyes locked onto mine as he rocked into me, tilting up at the last minute to hit that perfect spot that sent a shiver of pleasure through me with each thrust. This time the connection had something more on the link, a deep love and adoration that took my breath away. Was that really how he saw me? Perfect, sexy, and everything he could dream of?

“Yes,” he confirmed, wiping a tear away I hadn’t realized was there. “We’re a pack, Vanya, all of us.”

“We are,” I agreed, glancing at all of them before refocusing on Nyx. He smiled softly as he continued to gently rock into me, taking me slow but somehow making it so intense I was already shaking as an orgasm threatened to take over. When it finally washed over me, my cries were hoarse and throaty, my body and voice used beyond the point of exhaustion, but I’d never felt more fulfilled in my life.

ChapterNine

Vanya

The ceremony had changed everything. It had been almost a week and with each passing day, I could feel the connection growing deeper. Those simple moments we always found with each other were now building our bond, solidifying the link, until I could have a passing thought about one of my mates and they’d suddenly be in my mind, our link flaring to life. It was surreal and crazy, but also amazing. I was no longer alone and if one of my mates was busy for too long, I could feel the connection pulling us back together. It was strange, but reassuring. I didn’t have to be alone, and fate was ensuring I wasn’t.

But outside of stolen meetings and sleeping together at night, it wasn’t easy to find time together. We were still frantically searching for any leads on the Grave Alpha and his dark witch, but after our last encounter, they seemed to have gone completely underground. No slip ups. No sightings. Radio and video silence.

Even the compounds that Antonio had originally found were all abandoned now. It was a true show of how vast his reach was that they could empty them all and raze our pack all in the time it took us to find Callum and Holt, clear out the compound, and come home.

We knew he had to have a home location somewhere, but he’d done his work to keep it under lock and key, no one in or out. Or at least that we’ve spotted. He’s likely being extra careful now, I don’t think he expected anyone to throw off his plans, and I’ve done that from day one.

“Oh, look at you rebuilding.” The sound of the condescending, gravelly voice had me spinning around, coming face-to-face with the alpha we were searching for. The sounds and people in my pack were completely gone now, it was just me and him in a strange pocket of quiet.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I yelled back at him.

He walked around me, taunting me with a smirk as he circled. “Just checking up on you. Seeing how you liked my little present.”

I snorted at that like it didn’t bother us in the least. “We didn’t let it get us down. As you can see, you hold no power here.”

His eyes narrowed, black hair falling in front of him, making him look even more menacing. He had the intimidation down, but I wasn’t going to show that he scared the shit out of me.

“And yet I do scare you. I can see it in your eyes.” He sounded so smug that I wanted to punch him right in the face. But my luck, he’d probably fucking like it.

“That’s a lot of ego for one wolf, isn’t it? Overcompensating?” My eyes dipped downward, and then I joined the hunt, circling him right back. He wasn’t going to get the upper hand here and from the vein bulging out of his scarred forehead, he knew what I was doing. “It’s hilarious to me that you think you’re some kind of king of the supernatural world. You aren’t just flying under the radar anymore. We’re all looking for you. And eventually, you’ll grow tired of lurking in the shadows like a fucking coward.” It wasn’t my words but my mocking laugh that pushed him over the edge. His eyes flashed in anger before he lunged at me, his fist flying at my face. I dodged it but his hand would have caught me on the shoulder, if it hadn’t passed right through me. It was then that I fully realized this was nothing more than a projection.

“You will cower before me,” he said confidently, though he was shaken and breathing like a bull.

“No, I won’t,” I said as I matched his energy.

“I have more power than you could ever dream of,” he growled.

My lips tipped up into an amused smile. “Power you gained from forcing your disgusting self on helpless witches? I’m sure Straya is the only one who’d willingly touch you.”

“If you think Straya is my source of power, you’ve learned nothing about us. And I couldn’t care less if my mates hate me,” he said casually, like we weren’t discussing his crimes.

“You’re nothing more than a predator, a monster that we’re going to put down.”

“Keep telling yourself that while we keep watching you struggle from the sidelines. It’ll be good entertainment while I continue to grow my empire. That tracker might have proven himself useless in the end, but there were a few things that he gave us, like this.”

Something appeared in his hand, and I zoned in on it. My mouth fell open in shock when I realized what it was. How the hell had I not noticed my locket missing? I hadn’t worn it in years, but it was always tucked into my favorite book. A gift from my mother on my tenth birthday. Back when times were simpler and she was still alive.
