“Please, Torryn,” I begged. “I need you.” My voice was pathetic this time, full of raw desperation.

“Good girl,” he praised as his mouth finally found my core. He speared his tongue inside before licking his way to my clit. The moment his warm mouth latched onto me, I screamed out, bucking into his face and holding him by his hair, riding him shamelessly as my orgasm slammed into me. The fact he barely had to do any work for me to come was a testament to his fucking teasing skills.Mental note, blow jobs can be torturous too, just wait, Torryn.

“On your hands and knees, Luna,” he ordered, and I didn’t bother to fight this time, doing as he asked. Of course Torryn couldn’t help but line himself up and slide into my cunt as slow as fucking possible. He pushed forward inch by inch, my body shaking around him as he tried to kill me slowly.

“Fuck me, Torryn!” I demanded, slamming my own hips back to force him to bottom out. His eyes flared and a wicked smile formed on his face.

“One of these days, I’m going to chase you through the woods and fuck you senseless. Maybe it’ll be a hunt with all of your mates.”

The mental image of that picture had me groaning. Running through the woods, them on my heels, fucking me right there on the forest floor before the others stepped in, taking what they wanted from me.

“Fuck,” I breathed out. “Why do you do this to me?”

“The thought has you wet, Vanya, it seems we’ve realized you have a primal kink,” he laughed, still moving so slowly I wanted to scream.

“I have a fuck me, kink, so fuck me like you mean it!” I growled in frustration. He growled back, finally letting his control snap. Torryn fucked me into the mattress with punishing slams of his hips. My cries were loud enough to rival a porn star but I didn’t give a single fuck if the camp heard me at this point. I was so far gone, my mind hazy with lust, that this was all I could focus on.

“Touch yourself, Luna,” he hissed. My mate was losing his own control and I could feel his own lust screaming through the bond. Following his orders, I reached toward my clit, stroking myself in time with his own thrusts until the orgasm washed over me. My pussy clenched around him as waves of pleasure were slamming through my body. The orgasm was powerful enough my muscles tensed painfully, and I didn’t relax until the aftershocks took effect.

Torryn couldn’t hold on any longer, his growl feral as he sunk his teeth into my shoulder, filling me with his seed.

My body was sensitive and covered in sweat, and he’d achieved exactly what he promised, a moment of just us, no drama, no fear.

“Come on,” he said gently as he pulled out and cleaned us up. “I need some fresh air and I think you need it too. We can deal with the crazyafterwe get back.” My gaze landed on him, and I studied him for a moment. He looked worried.Had I really been that obvious? But the offer of taking another few minutes of peace was way too enticing to ignore. So, I didn’t argue, I just put my clothes on and let him pull me outside toward the cliffs.

“I’m surprised you want to be out here,’’ I joked. “Especially since the last time you were out here a hex blasted you over the edge.” I left the ‘and you almost died’ unsaid. It was still an awful memory, one I couldn’t shake easily.

“I’ve never been one to let bad things hold me back. Sure, it sucked, but there’s no hexes around now, and I refuse to let those assholes take this view from me.” He sat down with his feet dangling over the edge of the cliff before pulling me down next to him. We stared out at the rushing water below. The sun was just coming up over the horizon and painting the sky a warm orange. It was beautiful out here and my heart ached at the thought of leaving this all behind. “Are you sad?” he asked. He didn’t have to clarify, I knew exactly what he was talking about.

“I am. I’m not trying to be a dick by bringing up our past, but… this is my home, the first real one I’ve had since Mom died,” I admitted, trying not to look at him. Our past was something I tried to dance around.

“Hey,” he said gently, turning my face to look at him. His eyes were sincere as he reached out and tucked hair behind my ear. “Our past is part of us, it always will be. But neither you nor I could ever believe that it was a home to you. It was hostile on a good day, volatile on a bad. I was beaten growing up, forced into a role I thought I could change the world in and failed miserably. It’s not a home, but neither is this. Not anymore. You’ll always have the memories, but a home will be what we establish when this shit is all over. One you help build, that I help build.”

Tears burned behind my eyes as his words settled over me. “You’re right.”

“But?” he asked, bumping his shoulder into mine now that he’d let me go.

“I feel fucking awful, like I’ve brought this here. Sure, my mates say they wouldn’t change it, but what about the rest of the pack. They’re innocent and didn’t deserve this. I know, I know. We’ve all talked about this, but I can’t shake it. It’s eating away at me,” I explained.

“I get the guilt, believe me.” He laughed bitterly. “But I don’t think a single member of this pack would change you coming here. You’ve made friends, family, and changes they desperately needed. All the things I knew you were capable of.”

“It’s nice to have people backing me up,” I said with a watery smile.

We leaned in together, shoulder to shoulder, looking out at the view when the cold feeling came back. Slowly creeping up from the base of my spine and washing over me. Goosebumps covered my skin and fear clawed at my chest. I was on my feet in a single breath, turning to face whatever was coming.

“What’s wrong?” Torryn asked, on his feet beside me before questioning.

“It’s happening again,” I hissed but my explanation wasn’t needed as an unfamiliar witch materialized in front of me. “Who are you?”

Her eyes were wild, frantic, and I knew this wasn’t someone working with the Grave Pack, but against them. “It’s not important. I don’t have time to explain more, but I’m your sister’s mate. You have to get us out of here soon or we won’t survive.”

“But where are you? We’ve searched the entire fucking country,” I pleaded. “We need something.”

“The Smoky Mountains. Look for Stonefall Mines,” she hissed, turning to look behind her, then back at me. I could feel the urgency, but I also needed to know I could trust her.

“How do I know you know my sister?” I demanded. Somehow I knew she wasn’t bad, but we’d been fucked over enough that I wouldn’t risk my pack on a stranger’s word alone. She smiled softly before reaching behind her. When her hand came back into view there was something in it. It was a bracelet that Meira always wore. The stranger extended her hand as if she were handing me something and when I held mine out, she dropped it. My eyes widened as I curled my fingers around the very real object she’d somehow passed through this strange encounter.

“You have to save us,” she pleaded. We don’t deserve this fate. Come for us?”
