“Yeah, you should probably go.”

Their eyes remained locked for a while before Elite looked toward the front door. “You sure the kids sleep?”

“Yes.”

“And you can be quiet?”

“Mhm.”

“Let’s go.”

She’d already changed her locks and the password for her security cameras, so Denali didn’t have to worry about Blaze watching and pulling up. There was no part of her that felt like Elite couldn’t protect himself, but she and Blaze had enough going on. She didn’t want to deal with his ego because he saw her with another man too.

By the time Elite had made it to her side and was opening the door, Amir’s bedroom light was cutting on. With a low groan, she shook her head.

“He either has to use the bathroom, or he thinks I’m sleep, and he can play his game now.”

“What does he play?” Elite asked, quietly closing the door.

“Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto. That NBA game too.”

“Call of Duty is my shit. Is he any good?”

“I think so. He’s always yelling, so it’s kind of hard for me to tell.”

Elite laughed as they walked to the front door. “I’ll have to get his name and invite him to a party one day. See what he can do.”

“I’m sure he would love that. His dad never wants to play with him. He tried to teach me, but apparently, I’m not coordinated enough to shoot and load bullets and run at the same time.”

Elite held back his laughter as much as he could, but he was unsuccessful. Denali didn’t mind his laughter at her expense. From what he’d shared with her and what Cassie had told her, Elite needed as much laughter as he could get for his troubled soul.

When they entered, she heard Amir mumble, “Ah!” before quietly shutting his door.

“Yeah, his ass is trying to play that game.” Elite followed her down the hall, and when she opened Amir’s door, he was in bed with his covers pulled up all the way, but he’d forgotten to turn the TV and light off.

“Boy, I know you ain’t sleep. Get your silly ass up.”

With a forced frown, Amir sat up, but he smiled at the sight of Elite.

“You any good?” Elite asked, pointing to the game.

Nodding, Amir sat on the edge of the bed. “Yes, sir. You play?”

“I do.”

“Ma, can Ipleaseshow Mr. Elite how good I am? Just for one game, then I’ma go to sleep.”

Denali looked toward Elite for confirmation. Though her pussy was absolutely soaking wet, something about Elite bonding with her son in that moment meant more.

“If he wants to, but just one game, Amir.”

“Well, it might have to be two. It just depends,” Elite said, making his way further into the room.

“Aw hell. I can see now you’re about to be just as loud and crazy as he is.”

Not confirming or denying, Elite made himself comfortable next to Amir. It was cute seeing his tall, wide frame in the small chair, but Denali knew he’d be uncomfortable soon, so she headed toward the dining room to get him a regular sized chair.

“Ma, what’s going on?” Kinsley asked, rubbing her eye.
