I know it’s not much, but this is the first real lead I’ve gotten. Now that we have her name, it’s only a matter of time before we track her down.

And what if she doesn’t want to be tracked down? It’s the very question that has plagued me since I asked Nick to have Chuck look into her.

What if I go through all this trouble to find her only to have her turn me away again?

I guess at least then I’ll know. At least then I can say I did everything I could and it wasn’t meant to be. But this, this waiting around wondering where she is and what she’s doing, if she’s thinking about me as much as I am thinking about her–it’s driving me insane.

I’d rather have answers that I don’t want then spend the rest of my life wonderingwhat if.

I pick my phone back up when another text message comes through.

Nick: Keep me posted. And let me know if Chuck hasn’t messaged by the end of today.
