GINEVRA

Ipushed away from the desk, exhausted from dealing with the time difference between the east and west coasts. At least I didn’t have to manage a day of meetings with a plug up my ass this time. Jesus. How fucked up was it that I was grateful that my—I stumbled, still not sure what we were calling each other—grateful mypartnershadn’t forced me to spend all day horny, needy, and humiliated, wishing a cock were stuffed up me instead of the plug?

That’s really fucked up, Ginevra.

The office Rian had set up for me sufficed for the time being, but eventually I’d have to figure out how to manage my company from here for extended periods.

A knock interrupted my thoughts. I swirled in my chair to see Cormac’s frowning face as he leaned in the doorframe, his T-shirt revealing the sharp cut of his abs. When he caught me ogling him, he tilted his lips into a smirk. I flushed.

“Dinner’s ready,” he said, straightening.

I closed my laptop and stood, wincing. I was a little bit sore from last night. And this morning. And Liam’s surprise visit at lunch.

Cormac’s grin transformed his face, erasing its severity and replacing it with a joy that took my breath away. “How’re you feeling?”

“Sore,” I answered, my response short.

“Just sore?”

I raised an eyebrow. He snatched at my waist and dragged me to him so he could nuzzle the sensitive skin of my neck.

“I’m horny as fuck from watching you girl-boss your way through that last meeting,” he murmured into my skin.

I rolled my eyes. To tell the truth, I was horny as fuck too. Something about these men had broken a dam inside of me, and need poured out all the fucking time. But they didn’t need to know that, not right now, not just after we’d found a detente, just as I’d seized some of the power in this relationship back from them.

“I’m hungry,” I said as my stomach growled. Cormac kissed the top of my head and nudged me out of the room with a gentle push at the small of my back.

It was just the two of us. Rian and Liam were out making the rounds of their clubs, our clubs, but I desperately needed a night of quiet after the tumultuous events of the week. Cormac volunteered to stay home with me. The guys weren’t willing to leave me alone, ostensibly for my safety, but I also suspected they worried I’d run.

Maybe they were right.

“Downstairs,” Cormac murmured. I could feel the heat of his gaze on my ass, despite my business attire.

When I arrived at the dining room, my gaze swept over the room. No pillow on the floor, no table settings. Uncertain, I looked over my shoulder at him.

“No pillow tonight, darling.”

I blinked.

He grinned and jerked his head toward the kitchen. I slid into a stool at the kitchen island and watched the play of muscles across his back as he plated our dinner.

“Do all three of you cook?” I asked as he dropped my plate in front of me.

Cormac shrugged. “Rian’s a fucking master in the kitchen. Liam can’t even boil water. We sent the cook away to enjoy a long weekend, so I had to make do tonight.”

He’d grilled steak and vegetables. I laughed and made air quotes with my fingers, “Make do.” I took a bite and moaned. “It’s delicious.”

Cormac grinned, his white teeth flashing against the deep brown skin of his face. “I’d burn the world down to get you to make that sound again, darling.”

I blushed, but couldn’t keep the smile off of my face. “How long have you three known each other?”

“Our whole lives.”

My eyebrows shot up. “Didn’t Liam emigrate from Ireland?”

He laughed. “If by emigrate, you mean, did the Irish mob work a deal to send him here rather than risk him turning coat in prison? Then yes, he emigrated here ten years ago. But he was here as a kid too. Not as poor as Rian and I were, but still, times were tough.”
