When he realized I was trying to press my knees together, he laughed. “Don’t worry, Russo. I don’t intend to rape you. Although I can’t speak for what Alexi and my men will do when I’m finished with you.”

I froze.No.

Yuri’s laugh rang cruelly through the warehouse. He pulled out an ancient digital camera and snapped a photo before one of the men applied tape to my mouth once again. The light snapped off, and once again, I was sitting in the dark.

My attention snapped to the center of the room just in time to see Liam deck Costa. Just what we fucking needed on top of everything else. The crowd lost their goddamned minds, cheering and pushing closer to get a glimpse of a fight that would, in any other circumstances, be absolutely epic.

Zhang raised an eyebrow. “Is this how you boys typically do business?”

With a deep sigh, I shook my head. “Our business is going to have to wait for another day, I believe.”

He laughed, handing me his card. “It will be my pleasure.”

I spun on my heel and pushed through the excited and jostling crowd, trying to keep Ginevra in my sights as I shoved my way to the center where Liam and Accardi stood, grappling with each other. By the time I reached them, Cormac and Costa’s bodyguards were shoving the two men apart.

Where was she? I spun around, searching for our girl, my eyes wild as I realized she was nowhere to be seen. Fuck.

“Clear this place out,” I ordered the closest gang member—a young man with orange hair and tattoos up and down his arms. He looked at me with surprise. “NOW!” I roared, continuing my search for Ginevra.

I pushed and shoved through the crowd, grabbing every brunette in my path and checking to see if it was Ginny.

Where the fuck was she?

The arena wasn’t emptying out fast enough. I drew my gun from my shoulder holster, ready to fire in the air, but was interrupted by the harsh ring of fire alarms. The crowd screamed and rushed for the doors, pushing and shoving in their eagerness to escape.

When the arena had cleared out, the three of us stared at each other in shock and horror. “Where the fuck is she, Liam?” I shouted, furious he’d let his goddamned temper put our woman in danger.

Cormac didn’t even bother shouting, just drew his fist back and slammed it into Liam’s jaw. “You fucking idiot!”

Liam took the hit. His eyes were ice cold. “Gio called her a whore to her fucking face.”

I spun on my heel and left the arena, taking the stairs two at a time to get to Liam’s office, where he could watch over the security cameras in relative peace, no matter what else was going on in the club. By the time Cormac and Liam joined me a few minutes later, I’d already pulled up the feed from the arena and fast forwarded it to the moment that Liam took a swing at Gio Accardi.

Declan slammed the door open, Keri on his heels. “Call the Fire Department and let them know it was a false alarm,” I snapped, sliding out of my seat and allowing Cormac to work his magic.

Keri nodded and got on the phone.

Declan leaned over me. “What’s up, boss?”

“They fucking snatched Ginevra,” Liam growled, his hold on his temper as tenuous as my own.

Liam ran his hands through his coppery hair. “Declan, search the building while Cormac’s going through the security footage, then start interviewing the staff.”

Ginevra didn’t even blink as Liam defended her honor. She stepped forward as if to break up the fight, and then the crowd swept her backward, eager to get in on the action. I followed the dark brown of her hair as she was jostled to the left and the right, and then hustled out of the arena by a seemingly protective Alexi.

I switched the feed to the hallway and watched two men tape up our girl as she struggled and fought. Her eyes swung up to the camera, wide and terrified, as if begging me to reach back in time and save her. The biggest of the men swung her over his shoulder, exposing her ass to the camera.

Alexi and his two companions jogged out of the arena, using the same service stairs we just did, then pushed out the fire escape, setting off the alarm. We didn’t have a camera in the alley where they’d parked. Fuck. We’d talked about installing better security on the outside of the building, but had set it aside for later. Fucking later was now. I swore, furious at myself for telling Liam it wasn’t a priority when he’d mentioned it weeks before.

Cormac pushed away from the security system and pulled out his phone, his fingers flying over the touchscreen. “I’ll see if there’s any CCTV or other footage of the alley or the intersection there. Maybe we can pull plates.”

I nodded. “In the meantime, use the footage from the hallway to start running facial recognition on the two men with Alexi.”

Liam’s bark of laughter was angry and short. “It’s the fucking Russians.”
