There’s a knock on the door.

“Fuck,” I say, pulling up my pants.

“The door’s closed. The rules,” she says.

“Sorry,” I tell her, nodding for her to pick up her dress.

She slips it back on quickly, and I open the door.

“This is for storage,” the woman tells me.

“I know, but there’s nothing in here, and the member needed a room,” I offer in explanation.

“Look, a VIP member reserved it, okay? We say storage when we mean that. No one told you?” she asks.

“No.”

“I need to set things up – he just got here. You need to leave. Did you mess anything up in here?”

“No,” I repeat.

“Good.” The woman pushes open the door a bit and looks at my partner for the evening. “I apologize. There’s some confusion about this room tonight, but it’s reserved for an event.”

“An event?” my partner asks. “Isn’t this whole night an event?”

“Once you’ve been a member for three months with no issue, you’re eligible for special accommodations at our monthly events. For a fee, of course,” the woman explains.

“Of course,” she replies.

“We’ll leave,” I say. “Can you give us a minute to get–”

She nods before I finish, and I close the door.

“I’m sorry. They told me this room was for storage. I thought it would be okay,” I tell her with flushed cheeks.

“It’s okay.” She smiles at me.

I pull out our clothes from the drawer, and we dress quickly, with me helping her with the corset, as promised. I take a second to kiss her bare shoulder as she puts her dress back on.

“What now?” I ask her.

“It’s after two,” she says. “I didn’t even realize.”

“We have two hours,” I say.

There’s a knock.

“We have to go,” she says.

“To another room?”

“I doubt there’s another one available now.”

“Right,” I say.

“I–”

Another knock interrupts her, and I nod at her, already knowing what she’s going to say. I open the door.
