“All of them?”

“Getting there,” he admitted, eyes narrowed on mine. “Am I alone in that?”

“No.” I looked away for a moment to give myself space, then turned back and bravely met his eyes. “You’re not alone.”

Things were moving fast. Maybe too fast. Was I just caught up in the excitement? The romance of it all? Should I pull back a bit and regroup?

Would be kind of difficult to pull back when I planned to head home with him tonight then go with him to his sister’s house for dinner tomorrow.

What was the risk? How big was the risk?

You’re going to hurt him. You need to be responsible with his feelings. You shouldn’t be getting so involved unless you’re sure. It’s not just him you have to consider, it’s Brayleigh, too.

“Hey,” his raspy voice interrupted my thoughts. “Stop thinking.” He tugged the hem of my dress then nuzzled into my neck. “I like this. You’re all sexy librarian, looking like somebody’s mother, or the nice women at the bank, and only I know what lies beneath it all.”

He went rigid for a moment and drew back to look me in the face. “Only I know, right? No, that’s ridiculous.” His eyebrows scrunched together. “How many people know?” He held up a hand. “Don’t answer that!”

I laughed lightly, lay my hand alongside his face. “Not as many as you’d think. If you’re asking the number of men who actually know me the way you do, it’s the number of fingers on one hand.” I reconsidered, then added with a smirk, “If you were a sloth.”

He inhaled deeply. “I’m a hypocrite.”

“No. You’re not judging, are you?”

“Not judging. I’m jealous?” Half pained, half confused, his mouth twisted around the word.

The break ended and as he made his way back to the stage, the curious eyes of the women stayed with me rather than follow him.

Most of them were younger than me. Any one of them would gladly take my place. Every one of them surely wondered what I had that they did not.

I wondered that myself.

Lucky

She had me losing my fucking mind. Dragging her teeth so fucking lightly up my cock, then licking every-fucking-where else on my body except the one place that literally wept for her touch while I lay there and tried not to come from the wisp of her breath as she passed over my balls.

Fucking finally, she straddled my hips and welcomed me into her tight, wet, heat.

I grasped her round hips, arched my neck back and away from the sight of her riding me slow, her thighs straining as she raised herself up then slowly engulfed me in her heat, gasping and grinding into me each time I bottomed out.

“Baby, baby, baby,” I gasped, struggling not to come.

“Say my name,” she demanded, breathless. “I need to know you know who you’re fucking.”

As if.

As if there could ever be anybody else.

Ever.

I rolled her onto her back and drove into her hard, stayed deep, and rocked against her.

“To me?” I grunted. “To me, it’s baby, sweetheart, beautiful.”

I entered her with short, shallow thrusts and watched her neck arch back. My tongue traced the sweet curve of her throat.

“I’ll further elaborate to add my baby, my sweetheart, my beautiful lady, my soul, my heart, my happiness, my fucking eyes, Minty.” I strained to hold back but couldn’t. “You’re everything that’s good in my life. You want to be sure I know who I’m fucking? It’s you. Even in my fucking dreams.”

My back bowed as I came deep inside her. Clamping down onto her collarbone with my mouth, she fluttered around me, plastering her cheek to my temple, her breath releasing with a series of husky ‘ohs’.
