“What makes you think you can help?” The man closest to me says. I look at his vest and see ‘Vice President’ on the left side and ‘Cannon’ under that. On the right side there is a picture of a devil that has horns and angel wings. Underneath the picture is the words ‘Ride together. Fight together. Survive together.” I like that saying. It speaks volumes about these people.

“I’ve always been able to calm people down with a simple touch. If you’ll allow me, I can try and calm down your friend.” He gives me a nod and I walk over towards the raging man. He was good looking when he was far away, but up close, this man is a Greek God. I can feel the desire leaking from in between my thighs. Something that hasn’t happened in fifteen years. I don’t know this man from Adam, and I don’t even know his name, but he’s making me feel things that I haven’t felt since Posey’s dad. Heck, probably not even then.

I place my hands on his face and can see the change happening almost instantly. I look into his eyes and it’s like the world around us has disappeared. I can see the chocolate color coming back into his eyes as the black slowly fades away. He’s tall, about a foot taller than me. He smells of leather, chocolate, and all man. My lady bits are tingling, and they want this man in front of me. The man that is currently shooting sparks through my arms. I’m not sure how long we stand there, but the next thing I know, his lips are on mine. I’m frozen in my spot. I tense until his tongue touches my bottom lip and I melt into him.

I’m kissing a man whose name I don’t even know. This is the first contact from a man I’ve had since I was with Charles. Holy fudge it feels so good. There’s a flood in my pants and everyone might need a life preserver with how much I’m going to flood this place. Our tongues meet and fireworks explode behind my eyes. I let out a soft moan. What the heck am I doing? I came here to work, not make out with one of the members. He pulls away and I let out a whimper at the loss of his warmth. “Hey” Oh. My. God! His voice. So deep and husky. I think I just came in my panties.

“Hello. Feel better?” I ask him in a breathless tone.

“Much. Thank you. What’s your name?” He replies, his voice as breathless as mine.

“Alanis Barton. I’m the new accountant.” His eyes go wide, but he doesn’t take a step back. I didn’t come here looking for anything. I was content with raising my daughter and working for the rest of my life. I don’t need a man to itch the scratch that I found myself having every once in a while, because my vibrator does perfectly fine. However, after this little taste of Heaven, I want more. I want so much more and dang it; I want it with this man in front of me that I don’t even know.

“Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you Alanis. I’m Trigger, but you can call me Eliot.” The man who still has a hold of me says.

“I was right!” Comes from somewhere in the room, breaking us out of our trance. “Hannah owes me money!” Money? Money for what?

“Knock it off Ali! You know how to ruin a moment don’t you.” Barks out Trigger, amusement shining bright in his eyes. “Why don’t you go over to the bar and get yourself a drink. We have a couple things to take care of and then we’ll get started.” I nod and walk away.

What the heck just happened? It was unexpected and I’m not sure why he did it. Maybe it was the heat of the moment. I have no idea. Do I even want to find out? No, I need to focus on my job and taking care of my daughter. She has three years left of school, counting this one, before she goes off to college. She wants to study to be a veterinarian and I need to start saving for that. I’ve been able to put a bit away at a time over the years, but it hasn’t been much. It helped that I didn’t have to pay anything except for food when I was living over the diner, but when we moved out, I had to start paying rent and utilities. Plus, I needed to get internet for Posey’s school. She had a lot of things that involved the computer. Not to mention that her sports aren’t cheap to keep up with, but I would do anything for her. I know she’s hoping to get a sports scholarship, but I want her to have a backup just in case. I have no doubt that she’ll get one. She’s actually really good at the sports she plays. I couldn’t be prouder of her.

I’m not sure how long I’ve been sitting at the bar when a woman sits next to me. “Hey. I’m Aliana. Cannon’s ol’ lady.” She tells me as she holds her hand out to me.

“Alanis. It’s nice to meet you.” I shake her hand.

“What made you move here, if you don’t mind me asking. I’m a nosey lady.” She says, causing me to chuckle.

“My daughter and I moved here when I got the job offer. I was working at a diner and convenience store. It was hard for me to find an accounting job.” I explain.

“I can’t wait to meet your daughter and get to know you better. We’re going to be the best of friends. Hannah, Reaper’s ol’ lady, is in the hospital. She just gave birth to her daughter yesterday.” I nod and before I can respondhisvoice sounds behind me.

“Follow me and we’ll start.” I get up, with a wave to Aliana, and follow Eliot.

After I sent Alanis to the bar, I followed my brothers out to the gate with a screaming Megan in tow. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” What in the hell did I ever see in her? Her voice is irritating to no end. “Eliot!” I don’t know how many times I’ve got to tell her not to call me Eliot. She lost that right twelve years ago. I stop in my tracks, bringing her to a halt with the arm I have in my grip.

“I have told you over and over again not to call me that. You lost that right twelve years ago. You lost that right the day you decided to play fucking dead. You lost that damn right the minute you decided to hide my son from me. As for what the fuck I’m doing. I’m sending your conniving, lying bitch ass home. Thought you could pull a fast one on us? You know, you tried to kill a MC President. Do you know what that means?” I question.

“No? Let me enlighten you. It means you’re dead.” I should feel worse about it, but after all that I’ve learned over the last twenty-four hours, I don’t feel a damn thing. “I’d say it was a pleasure seeing you again, but that would be a lie. Have fun with Venom. I mean, you have been dating longer than twelve years, with you being with him while we were together.” Her face drains of its color, her mouth is opening and closing as she tries to find a way out of this. “That’s right, I know everything. Just like I said I did inside.”

“He’s pulling up now brother.” Doc says.

“Eliot please! Don’t do this. We have a son together. We have something between us. You can’t deny it! I can get over your little episode in the clubhouse. Hell, you can keep her on the side, just please don’t do this!” She flounders as we make our way towards the gate.

“There is nothing between us. There once was, but you were a cheating cunt. We do have a son together and I’ll make sure he gets the best care possible. I’ll make sure he’s well taken care of. Something that you, his mother, couldn’t do for him. I’ll be sure he’s set for the rest of his life. You don’t need to worry aboutmyson.” When we make it to the gate, Venom and three of his men are waiting for us. “I hope all this was worth it.”

“Please. Eliot. I love you. Think of Morgan. Think of us.” She pleads.

“Well, if it isn’t my backstabbing wife. Next time you try to kill someone, make sure they’re dead. Better yet, don’t hit them in the head with the gun, fucking shoot the damn thing.” Venom says. “Thanks Breaker. I’ll take her off your hands. She’s got some sins to repent for. Better start praying sweetheart because you’re about to meet your maker.” I throw Megan into Venom’s arms and turn my back, heading into the clubhouse. There’s an accountant in there that I find breaking my walls down even more than my kid already did. I just met her and yet, I know she’s going to be my downfall. The question is, do I fight it, or save myself from possible lost time and just dive in with both feet? Fuck me. I don’t know what to do. I guess all I can do is take it one day at a time.

I hear the roar of bikes riding off as I enter the clubhouse. I walk over to the bar where Alanis and Aliana are talking. I walk up and hear them talking about her daughter and how Hannah just gave birth. We got home late last night from visiting with the new parents and doting over the new little girl that’s going to cause us to have to up our gun supply by the time she starts dating. She looks just like her mom. Blond hair, so blond you can’t see it unless you’re up close to her. She has Jackson’s green eyes and his nose. Other than that, she’s just like her mama. She’s going to be a heartbreaker. I’m pretty sure Jackson is already having a bigger gun safe installed in their house. Breaking from my thoughts, I have Alanis follow me to the conference room so we can wait for the rest of the guys and go over her job.

“The others should be here in a few minutes. We had some club business to attend to.” I tell her as we enter the conference room. The clubhouse has around thirty bedrooms, a massive kitchen, the room we hold church in and this conference room. We have a few offices. Mainly for the Pres, VP, Secretary, and Treasurer. We also have an office for Alanis to use if she chooses to. We have the main room, family room, and a few bathrooms that aren’t attached to the bedrooms. “So, tell me about yourself.”

“Well, I’m thirty, I have a daughter who is fifteen. She just started her sophomore year before we moved here. I took this job because it was the first one that was offered to me since I got my degree. Before moving here, I was working at a diner and a convenience store. I needed to make sure my daughter had everything that she needed. She plays sports and that stuff doesn’t come cheap. I would do anything for my daughter. I have since I was fifteen and her dad humiliated me, and my parents abandoned me.” I can see she’s strong. I knew she was before she even started talking, but hearing her talk about what she’s been through, just proves my point. She’s an independent woman and cares deeply for her daughter.

“I just found out yesterday that I have a twelve-year-old son. I thought his mother was dead for the last twelve years. Turns out, she was only an hour away this whole time. Thought she was the love of my life. I was going to ask her to marry me right after graduation, but instead I found a letter stating that she had been killed. I died that day and my son managed to break some of the walls that I’ve managed to build over the years in a matter of a few hours.” I’m not sure why I’m telling her all this, but it seems natural to talk to her. Like I’ve done it my entire life and not just the past five minutes.
