“That may be true, but my sister is the best. I just know she is.” He says. We all turn our attention to the game as it starts. I look around me and see the support of all the people around me. Eliot brings me into his side and throws his arm around my shoulders. I look at him before turning my attention back to the others around me. I just noticed that all the men are wearing matching shirts. They have Posey’s number on the back, and each say the work uncle above her number. They have signs sitting at their feet as well. How in the heck did I not notice this? I snuggle closer into Eliot’s embrace and watch my daughter play. I never get tired of watching her do what she loves.

The game lasts about thirty minutes and I don’t think the men sat down once the entire game. They were the loudest in the entire gymnasium. When Posey looked over the first time, she had a big smile on her face a blush on her cheeks. I’m not sure if that was from the men yelling and cheering for her or if it was the fact that Gavin was front and center the whole time. I think they have something going on, more than a crush. I didn’t think so at first, but after seeing the way he was with her, I have a feeling they’ve become closer than I realized. Gavin is going to the college a couple hours or so away to become an architect. He’s sweet as pumpkin pie and as long as he treats her right, I don’t mind them dating. My daughter may only be fifteen, but she’s old enough to make that decision on her own. I think I’ll need to have a talk with her though. I don’t want to become a grandmother before she’s graduated college.

“Pretty sure your brother is dating my daughter Snoop.” Eliot says. All the men turn towards the young couple and watch as they flirt. “I’m not sure how I feel about that.”

“He’s a good kid Eliot. You know that. Get over it. She’s fifteen. She’s going to date sooner or later. Aren’t you glad it’s a boy you know and not some hoodlum that you don’t?” His mother says and I snicker.

“I don’t care who it is. I still think she’s too young to date. She needs to wait until she’s forty. I’m not sure that’s long enough either.” He grumbles. The other men agree, but don’t say anything when they meet the expressions on their mothers.

“I think it’s cute. As long as she doesn’t end up pregnant, I think we’ll be okay.” I say as Posey and Gavin walk up to us. “You did great sweetheart.” I bring her into a hug and kiss her cheek. I lower my voice so no one else can hear. “We’re having a conversation about your boyfriend.” She blushes tomato red and nods her head. I’m not sure she thought I knew, but you can never hide anything from your mother. We know everything.

“You better keep in your pants Gavin.” Eliot says, causing Gavin to gulp and nod his head. His cheeks are tinted a light pink and he looks away.

“Let’s go eat. I’m starving. I’m sure our superstar is starving after playing that game.” Eliot’s dad says. We all gather our things and head towards our vehicles.

“Mom, can I ride with Gavin?” Posey asks.

“Yeah sweetie. That’s fine.” I tell her. She runs off towards his vehicle and Eliot helps me into the truck. I’m starving and a bit nervous for what is going to happen tonight, but I can’t wait to see what the night brings.

After Megan ‘died’ I never wanted kids. I never thought that I’d find another woman who made my heart beat the way Alanis does. I have stronger feelings toward her than I ever did with Megan. I feel this pull that’s so strong, it’s like a rubber band. She’s right, this is fast, but who gives a flying fuck? I don’t. Now, I have two kids. Morgan showed up and brought out feelings that I had buried so deep inside that I didn’t know how to handle it. Then Alanis and Posey came. We have a premade family, but I want to see her round with my child. A mix between her and I. The way she looked when she was holding Linden; I didn’t think my heart could get any fuller. Just the image of her holding a child, made me want things I haven’t wanted in a very long time. Now that I want it, I can’t wait for it to happen.

We’re sitting here at the steakhouse waiting for our food to arrive and having a good time just hanging out with family. The parents are taking off in the morning, so Hannah’s mom and dad have come to join us for the evening as well. There has been talk about merging both the club and the family together, I’m not sure how that would work, but I’m sure if Kai and Westyn are serious about it, they’ll figure it out. I’ve never heard about the Mafia and MC merging as one, but anything is possible. I know when we talked about it in church they were just thinking about becoming partners in legal businesses. Just like the club, Kai is wanting to get out of the illegal scene for his family. Obviously, there will still be issues with that plan down the road, but we all have each other’s backs.

“Are you guys excited to go on your trip?” Ali asks. Our parents have been wanting to go on this trip since Ali showed back up in town, but shit kept hitting the fan and weren’t able to.

“We are. We haven’t been on a trip with just us adults since before you kids started popping out.” My dad answers. “The only thing we wish we weren’t going to miss is the charity run, but we need this trip. We didn’t put you boys in charge so we could still run it for you. I’m sure you can handle things on your own.”

“The first charity run the men did started when Gavin was born prematurely. We did that one for the NICU. They hold a special place in my heart for keeping my baby boy alive. The nurses that worked there were amazing. They made sure we had everything we needed. They didn’t hover, which I’m grateful for. No parent wants someone hovering over them as they watch their baby fight for their life.” Novaleigh says.

“I remember the doctors. Nowadays, it’s hard to find a decent doctor that knows their shit. Gavin’s doctor was one of the best. He was a straight shooter. He didn’t beat around the bush or try to talk to us in medical mumbo jumbo. He laid all the information out, but not in a rude way. He was compassionate with the way he said it. If I had thought he was being rude I would have put a bullet between his eyes.” Brock states. “He passed away shortly after Gavin left the hospital. He and his wife were in an accident. Neither of them made it. They left a daughter behind. She wasn’t very old when it happened. I never was able to find her.”

“Last I heard she moved in with her aunt and uncle. I’m not sure of much more. I wanted to make sure she wouldn’t go into the system. It’s the least the club could have done for Dr. Jennings. He kept one of ours alive.” Robert, Westyn’s dad, said. After that, conversation flowed smoothly as it always does. The food was better than I expected, and I’m stuffed. I’m ready to get back to the room with my woman and show her just how good I can make her feel. Fuck, my cock has been semi-hard the entire time I’ve been around her. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a permanent semi with her around. Not that I’m complaining. My little minx is sexy as hell.

“Alright, we’re heading out around eight in the morning. We’ll drop the kids off before we go.” My mom says. All the grandparents are taking their grandbabies with them for the night. They won’t be seeing them for a year and a lot can happen in a year.

“For the love of all that’s Holy. Don’t burn my clubhouse down. It better still be standing when we get back.” Robert says, causing everyone to chuckle. “Nothing funny about it. With the way trouble follows all of you, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

“We’ll make sure it’s taken care of dad. We can handle anything that comes at us. You forget that we have plenty of backup. Besides, it’s not like we’re going to be partying the whole time you’ll be gone.” Westyn chimes in. We get our bills paid and make our way out of the parking lot. Alanis is walking with my mom while Posey and Gavin are walking towards me.

“She’s different since we moved here, and she met you.” Posey says out of nowhere.

“How’s that pumpkin?” I ask.

“She’s happier. I’m not saying that she wasn’t happy before, but before we came here all she focused on was working and taking care of me. She never did anything for herself. I’m just glad to see her happy. I know she’s happy with it just being the two of us, but she needs someone to love. She deserves to be happy. Every birthday I would hope my dad would come and be with me, but he never showed. I know she’s tried to contact him, but he never replies. He’s replaced us and I know it hurt mom. With you, I can tell she’s happy and that’s all I want.” She says.

“I’ll make sure the both of you are happy. We’re a family kid. She makes me happy too. I never thought I’d have another chance, but your mom changed that. I don’t plan on letting her go. I’ll be here for as long as she’ll have me.” I bring Posey into my arms and hug her tight. “When we get back, you and your mom are moving in with Morgan and myself.”

“Morgan is awesome. I couldn’t ask for a better brother. He’s sweet.” She says, sliding close to Gavin. He wraps his arm around her waist, and I give him a hard glare.

“Don’t do anything stupid. She’s still in high school. Wrap it up. I find out you knock my daughter up we’ll be going a few rounds in the ring.” I state. He gulps and nods. Gavin’s a great kid, but he’s still young as well. Isn’t that what dads are supposed to do? Scare the boyfriend? Hell, I don’t know. I’m new at this.

“Yes sir.” He says. I give him a nod and they head off to his car. Morgan and Murdock are not too far behind them. With them two riding with Gavin and Posey, I don’t have to worry about anything. I stand by the truck and talk to the guys, waiting for Alanis to finish talking to the women. I can’t stop staring at her. She’s breath taking. Her fire red hair is thrown up in a knot on the top of her head and the tank top hugs the swell of her breasts perfectly. I can’t wait for her fire to come through. She’s going to be a hellraiser when she lets it all out, and damnit if I can’t fucking wait.

It doesn’t take long for us to make it back to the hotel. The ride was filled in comfortable silence, and she didn’t pull away when I grabbed her hand. She just got comfortable in the seat and looked out the window. I’m glad she doesn’t need to fill the silence and constantly have us talking. I get to soak up her warmth as it spreads through my body. “We’ll catch you later brother.” Ghost says. I give my brother a chin lift and lead my woman into the room we’re staying in. It’s time for me to claim what’s mine.

Before the door is even completely closed, I have my mouth smashed to hers. Taking her by surprise, she lets out a gasp that gives me the invitation to deepen the kiss. I bring my hand to the base of her neck and tilt her head to get better access. My other hand goes to her hip and pulls her closer to my body. Breaking the kiss, I rest my forehead on hers. Our breathes mingle as we pant for air. I pull away and look into her green eyes. “Strip little minx.” I command softly, but firmly.
