“I don’t know what the fuck you’re laughing about, you were the exact same way this morning, except you said you were never drinking again.” Jackson states before taking off running from the moms chasing him. I shake my head and walk over towards Ali to watch the show. He can run, but he can’t hide from them.

Once everything has settled down, Westyn draws our attention to him. “Aright, everyone knows what they’re doing and where they’re riding, so let’s load up and get this show going.” With that, we all walk out to our perspective vehicles getting this trip started. I can’t wait. It’s going to be the best.

After being chased, and caught, by all the moms, I ended up getting the back of my head slapped like the other men who opened their mouths this morning. Westyn said a few quick words before we all went for our vehicles. There’s a total of forty-two of us going, counting the kids. We rented out a villa that has I think twenty bedrooms, each with their own ensuite, and your typical family room, kitchen, and the deck outside has a huge pool that looks right out to the ocean. It seems like a lot, but when you have the amount of people that we do, not to mention the Don of the Mason Family Mafia, you need all the space you can get.

We ended up having to take six different vehicles. My parents, Hannah’s, Axyl’s, and Ali’s parents rode in one vehicle. Doc’s, Trigger’s, Snoopy’s, and Ghost’s parents rode in the second vehicle. Westyn, Griller, Doc, Abe, and Ghost are in Westyn’s truck. Axyl, Aliana, their four kids, Tiffany, and Wendy are in their vehicle. Hannah, myself, Ink, Evan, Lyndsay, Kelsey, who is Ghost’s youngest sister, and Trigger are in my vehicle. In Snoopy’s truck, there’s him, his three brothers, Adam, Xavier, and Gavin, and Doc’s younger brother, Tristan. We’re going to be parking the vehicles at the airport while we’re gone.

We’ve been on the road for about an hour now and it’s been pretty quiet. I guess that helps when everyone is asleep. The only downside is no one’s up to keep me company and make sure I stay awake. “How much longer?” I look over at Hannah and see she’s awake now and the one that asked the question.

“Around an hour.” I tell her, grabbing her hand and lacing our fingers together.

“I’m sorry you were up by yourself. I guess I needed to sleep the rest of the alcohol off.”

“It’s okay baby girl. I know you needed it. Besides, I had the radio to keep me company.” I easily lie, but it doesn’t get past Hannah.

“Yeah right. The only time you don’t mind being up by yourself is when you’re riding your bike. You hate being the only one up in a vehicle.” She points out, earning a chuckle form the back. “Oh, good. You’re all awake.” She says louder, making sure to wake everyone in the car. I laugh to myself as everyone grumbles about being woken up. She looks at me with innocent eyes and shrugs her shoulders.

“I love you and your wicked ways.” I tell her.

“I love you too my love. Especially all your wicked ways. I especially love it when you lose control like you did less than two hours ago.” She purrs, like literally purrs.

“Oh, God. I really didn’t need to hear that about my sister.” Evan pipes up.

“It’s just sex Evan. I’m not the only one to have it in this world. Hell, I’m not the only one that’s had it in this car. Clearly, you have since you know, you’re going to be a dad.” Hannah retorts.

“I am, aren’t I? I couldn’t be more excited than I already am, but I’m also scared to death.” He whispers. I’m assuming it’s because Lyndsay didn’t wake up through Hannah’s shouting. That could also be because she’s a heavy sleeper. “She’s going to make an excellent mom and an even better businesswoman.”

“Yeah, what do you plan on doing when she has to go back to school? Doesn’t she have about a year left?” Ink questions. Ink was brought into our household and then later adopted when dad came across him on the streets. I won’t tell his story because isn’t not mine to tell, but he’s a great brother. Abe and I are super close to him, and we all made sure that he felt like he belonged with us. We never made him feel like he was outsider, but a Johnson from the beginning.

“The baby will come to the office with me while she’s in class and then when she graduates, she’ll help me run the company. She doesn’t know that yet, but I knew from the second I seen her, she was the one for me. She’ll fight me on helping me run half the company, but I’ll get my way eventually. She’ll be my wife and what’s mine is hers and what’s hers is mine.”

“I’m glad you’re going to take care of our little sister. Most men wouldn’t step up after only knowing the person for a few months, but you did and that says a lot about you.” I say.

“In my family, if you get someone pregnant, you have to marry them. No ifs, ands, or buts. I was planning on marrying her before she even got pregnant. I wouldn’t have done it right away, but I would have done it after she got out of school and came to work at my company full-time.” Evan is a good man. Even though I just met him, I can tell he sticks to his word and wouldn’t abandon Lyndsay.

“Well, for your sake, I’m glad you said that, and I hope you stick to it. We’d have to find you if you did take off, and you don’t want that to happen. We may not be as brutal as the mafia, but if you fuck one of ours over, we can get there.” Ink says.

“You don’t have to worry about that one bit. She’s it for me. Just like Hannah’s it for Jackson. I don’t want any other woman by my side. I don’t trust anyone to help run the company I built from the ground up other than this woman right here. She’s not after my money. She wants me for me and that’s all I could ever ask for. Yeah, this baby wasn’t planned, but it just makes this whole thing that much better.”

“Good. You’re a good man Evan. I know I speak for all of us when I say we wouldn’t want her to be with anyone but you. You seem to take care of her in ways that we can’t.” I reply.

“Do right by them. I know what it’s like to have shitty parents. I’ll make it my personal mission to hunt you down and force you to do your fatherly duties correctly if I have to.” Ink says. His parents weren’t the best, so he has a short fuse when it comes deadbeat parents.

“I wouldn’t dream of it.” That seemed to satisfy Ink.

“You’re a good man too Ink. There’s someone out there for you. I just know it.” Hannah says. She always sees the good in people. She never seizes to amaze me.

“I’m not a good man Hannah. I’m not planning on finding anyone anytime soon. I’m not a good match for anyone.” Ink retorts.

“You’re wrong brother. If anyone deserves to be happy, it’s you. You’re a good man. You know how I know?” I question but keep going before he can answer. “You saved mom from herself. After the complications she had with Abe, she couldn’t have any more kids. She was so depressed and then you came along. You healed her and she healed you. Her and dad showed you what it was like to have parents who actually care about you. You’re our brother, blood or not. You’ll always be a Johnson.” Everything that I just told him is the absolute truth. He doesn’t see in himself what everyone around him sees. The right one will come along, and she’ll show him exactly what he needs to see.

“Thanks brother, but enough of this mushy gushy shit.” I chuckle and we spend the rest of the ride to the airport in comfortable silence, watching the sun rise over the horizon. I have the best family and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I have my woman by my side and by the end of this trip she’ll be my wife, and hopefully, carrying my child. I can’t wait to have it all and Hannah is the one I want it with. I squeeze her hand before bringing it up to my lips and pressing a kiss to the back of her knuckles.

“I love you pretty girl.”

“I love you too baby. So much.”

When we pull into the airport, we all meet in the parking area. Once everyone is around, we all head inside airport. The Masons have a private plane waiting for us already on the tarmac. I guess it pays to have money. I mean, the men of the club have money, but not enough to buy a plane. However, the Mason’s don’t just have this plane, they have two small jets as well. Maybe we’re in the wrong business.
