The wine had gone down way too fast, and the bottle now sat empty on the desk. Tess lay on the bed, and I sat on the couch, a movie playing on the TV.

"I'm freezing," she muttered, her teeth chattering as she crawled under the covers. "How can you sit there like that? Aren't you cold?" she questioned as I looked down at myself in nothing but boxers, the blanket I used the night before curled in a ball at my feet.

"I'm good," I replied, downing the rest of my wine. "I'm like a human furnace."

"Well, if you're like a furnace, why don't you come over here and warm me up?" She giggled as a hiccup escaped her lips.

As much as I wanted to hear that invite, she’d had too much to drink, and I knew it was the alcohol talking, so I shook my head and relaxed back on the couch. "You'll warm up under those blankets soon enough," I said, feeling my cock jerk as my mind wandered back to the bathroom incident this afternoon.

"Please," she whined, "I'm frozen. I may even have frostbite." She giggled, holding up her fingers and wiggling them back and forth.

I couldn't help but smile. She was way too cute. I let out a breath. "Ten minutes, Tess, that’s it," I said, getting up off the couch and moving over to empty side of the bed. Ten minutes would be all I could handle lying beside her. I was about to lie down on top of the covers when she looked up at me.

"What are you doing?" She asked, with innocent eyes.

"What you asked. Warming you up," I stated, looking down at her. There was a playful glint in her eyes as she stared up at me.

"You can't warm me up if you’re on top of the covers." She giggled, reaching over and pulling the blankets down to expose the sheets, her bare leg sticking out from under the blankets. "Just crawl under the covers and shut the lights off. They are bright and hurting my eyes."

I did not have a clue at what I was doing by crawling into bed with her even if it was only to warm her up, but I reached under the lamp anyways and killed the lights. The room was now bathed in the soft glow from the TV and the tree. I had barely crawled under the covers when Tess moved into my side, pressing her body up against mine.

"That is so much better," she whispered more to herself than me as she wrapped her arm around my waist, placing one leg on top of mine. "So much better," she whispered again, a hiccup escaping her as she closed her eyes.

Tension filled my body as I felt her press herself against me. I placed my arm under her head, pulling her frozen body tighter against mine. My heart pounded in my chest as I relaxed back against the pillow and placed one arm behind my head. There was no way I should be in this position, I thought to myself as I focused my attention on the TV, trying to ignore the ache I felt building in my cock as she fell asleep in my arms.

Tess

The instant I opened my eyes, pain seared through my head. The bright-green numbers on the alarm clock pierced my eyes.

I rubbed them and blinked. It was only five forty-five; the room was still dark. I could hear sleet hitting the window, and I snuggled farther down under the warm covers, trying hard to ignore the pounding headache I’d achieved from drinking too much wine. I could hear a soft snore coming from Maddox. I went to roll over to lie on my back to see if that helped the headache when I felt slight movement behind me, followed by the slight puff of breath on my shoulder.

I raised my head up and looked over at the couch where Maddox normally slept. It was empty, the throw pillows strewn about. His blanket lay in a heap at the end of the couch. I brought my hand out and placed it on top of the covers and looked over my shoulder, then I lay my head back down on the pillow as panic filled me. Why the hell was Maddox in bed with me?

I tried to think back to last night. We’d walked back to the hotel, and got more wine downstairs, and came back to the room. The rest was a total blur. I glanced over at the desk and could see the outline of a wine bottle. What the hell happened?

I was about to get up when Maddox let out a low grumble, his arm wrapping around my waist as he pulled himself into me, so we were now even closer than before.

Oh my God, had we slept together? The panic I was feeling filled me even more as I tried hard to remember what had gone on last night after we’d gotten back here, but nothing came to me. Another low moan from behind me startled me as he pulled me into him even harder. This time, I could feel his rigid cock against my ass.

I lifted the edge of the blankets, trying hard not to wake him. I was relieved to see I was still completely clothed, even if it was only a pair of skimpy shorts and a tank top. I rested my head down on the fluffy pillow and tried to calm my breathing.

"Morning," he murmured, his gruff, sexy voice hitting me directly in my center as his hands gripped my waist.

"Ah, morning," I said, swallowing hard as the wave of arousal passed through me at the feel of his hands on me, his hard cock pressing into my ass.

"Why are you awake so early?" he questioned, rolling onto his back to give me a little space. “I figured you’d sleep until noon with all the wine you drank last night.”

"Spa day, remember," I said, kicking the covers off me and swinging my legs around to greet the coolness of the room. My head spun as I reached for my sweater that lay on the end of the bed. I quickly threw it over me, zipping up the front of it to hide my hardened nipples before turning to face him.

He chuckled. "You can relax. Nothing happened," he said knowingly, placing his arms behind his head.

I hated to admit it, but he looked devilishly sexy laying like that, and the longer I looked at him, the more I wished that something had happened between us.

"I know that," I said, trying hard to play it off; however, the quiver in my voice gave me away. I had absolutely no idea what had gone on last night.

"No, you were panicking, so I let you panic a little." He shrugged, placing his one hand down on his rock-hard abs. "You know you are really quite adorable in that state." He chuckled. "But you need to relax a little. It’s not good for your body to hold on to all that tension."

I frowned. How dare he tell me I am adorable when I panic. I was just about to reply when he smiled.
