As a future lawyer, I recommended that we sign a pre-nup before we saidI do, but Tyler only laughed in my face and told me that I'd be able to get rid of him only if I killed him. I didn't like that joke, but I knew it was his way of telling me that he'd love me forever.

"I have only one wish, and you know exactly what it is," Ty says after blowing out a candle and before taking a massive bite of a cupcake, almost swallowing it whole.

Of course I know what he wants; he’s asked about it forever. But I always told him that I'd stop taking contraceptive pills when the time was right and I felt like I was ready.

Tyler Parish wants a baby, and he wants it from me.

"I know, honey, but I prepared you something different, but precious no less." I smile and pull out a long thin box wrapped in a gift package.

He rips off the paper with the speed of a lion, and it takes him a couple of seconds before he realizes what's inside.

"A positive pregnancy test?" he clarifies with a shaky voice as if it could be anything else.

"I'm sorry I couldn't produce the whole baby for your birthday, but I think it'll happen someday," I joke, and my eyes are getting wetter with each word.

Tyler's gaze is also blurred.

My superstar husband, who wasn't even able to shed a tear when he won the Olympics, is fighting the urge to start crying because he found out he's going to be a father.

"I can't believe this," he says and throws the cupcake on a table, holding me up and pressing my body to his.

"Are you excited?" I ask, wrapping my legs around his waist.

"I'm the luckiest man alive," he says before pressing his lips to mine.

As he walks to our bedroom, still holding me in his arms, I whisper quietly into his ear, "hold me tight, champion, I'm getting heavier by the second."

"I will be glad to hold you both in my arms forever," he says softly, brushing his lips over my neck, "and as many more kids as you're willing to give me for the rest of our lives."
