"Please believe me, Serena," I plead, pressing my forehead to the speaker. There's nothing left for me but to beg her.

"But why should I believe you, Dom?" She speaks calmer and quieter this time, and I hear such a disappointment in her voice that my heart breaks. "Before we met, you'd put your dick in every hot girl in Los Angeles," she continues, sounding irritated again. "What's changed?"

"Before we met, I'd never been in love!" I scream so loudly that my throat hurts, leaning onto the door, unable to stand still any longer.

She says nothing. I don't know how much time has passed before I realize that she’s probably left. I know she doesn't want to see me. I know she probably needs time. But I can't force myself to walk away. I can't give up on us that easily. Give up on love...

I can't believe our love story is over.

And then I hear a loud sound, and the door opens. I can't believe my eyes. I see Serena standing next to the door, leaning on the wall.

We stare at each other for a few long, torturous moments, not saying a word, and it seems like I’m not even breathing.

"It's true, Serena." I break the silence first, and my voice is barely audible. "I love you. I've never loved anyone before, and I never will again." I mumble everything that's on my mind right now. "Except for maybe my father. And our kids, of course. If you want to have kids, because if not, I'll understand, I don't want to..."

She doesn't let me finish when she comes closer and falls into my arms, pressing her lips to mine.

I help her wrap her legs around me and close the door behind us as I walk to the bedroom without breaking our kiss.

"You're so stupid, Dominic Astor," she whispers, gasping for air between kisses. "Of course I want to have kids with you."

And when she gives me a smile, I realize that our love story isn't over. Far from it. This is just the beginning.
