“Yeah. Golf’s not half as bad as I’d thought.”
“Lots of rugged-looking older gentlemen?” he asked.
I screwed my nose up at him.
“Ah, no,” I said.
He laughed.
I sank down onto the couch next to him, and he wrapped his arms around me; kissing me on the side of my neck. I let out a sigh.
“Happy?” he asked.
“Yeah,” I said. He nibbled on my ear.
“I missed you,” he whispered.
“I missed you, too,” I murmured back.
“And I’m glad you’ve found some new friends.”
Our eyes met.
“But right now,” he said, voice low and full of promise, “I’m not going to share.”
