Penny stared at thesmudge on the wall; it annoyed her. As soon as David released her she would fetch a cloth and wipe it away. Thinking about the smudge helped her to regain her equilibrium after their erotic session over lunch. She was so aroused her thighs were sliding against each other; shifting her weight from foot to foot she attempted to ease her need. He was a devil, turning her on and leaving her wanting. She felt no real resentment toward him. After the stunt she’d pulled at the hospital, he was actually being restrained. Honey burst in the door followed by David. He glanced at her; she watched him in the reflection from the window as he began to stack the dishwasher.
“You are released from the corner,” he said casually as he worked.
She stretched and called to Honey. Gambolling over, the dog fetched her rope toy. Penny grabbed one end and shook it. Honey gave a mock growl and they played tug of war for a few minutes. Penny watched David as she amused Honey, but after a while the dog became bored with the same game and trotted away. Penny waited quietly for David to speak.
Finally he looked at her, head cocked. “Did you want something?”
She hated the cold reserve in his voice. “Please spank me so we can move on from this, Sir?”
“Yes, sure, but later on; I’m still not quite ready. Go and play.” He turned his back on her.
Tears filled her eyes at his cool dismissal. Quickly she left the room before he noticed her distress. The house phone trilled. She wasn’t sure if she should answer it, and so she lingered near the kitchen aware that there was a handset in the room. As she expected, David answered the call.
“Penny, it’s your sister!” he yelled. She went back into the kitchen and he handed her the phone.
“Allie?”
“Yeah... Why is your phone off? I have been trying to get you all morning!”
“Is something wrong?” Penny asked.
“No, you dork! I wanted to find out how your scan went.” Her sister sounded a trifle irritable.
“It went okay, I guess...”
Allie interrupted. “Penny, I know you... what happened?”
“Hang on a sec,” she said, walking toward the living room. “Okay, things went a little wrong, and I’m in deep doo-doo with David.”
“What did you do now?”
“What d’you mean,now? I haven’t screwed up yet, as far as I know!” she snapped.
“Just tell me what happened.”
She did. There was silence when she finished her tale.
“Do you want to come here, or go over to Dad’s for a bit?” Allie asked.
“No. No, I’m in the wrong, and I’ll pay the price. I’m fine, honestly.”
“Has he spanked you?”
“All-ie!”
“What? You’re my sister! I want to know what’s going on... So bite me, I worry, okay?”
“Since you put it that way, no, not yet, he’s still angry with me.” She kept her voice low, in case David heard.
“Shall I come over and keep you company?” Allie suggested.
“No. I, um...” Her voice trailed off as David came into the room, picked up the paper, and sat down to read it.
“Tell her you’re naked,” he said, shaking out the newspaper.
“I heard him; what the heck, Penny?”
