Everybody waits.
The second the beep sounds, Adam and Jake start counting down together.
“Five…”
Felix leans close, whispering in my ear, his warm breath moving over me.
“Four…”
“I saw the test,” he says softly.
“Three…”
“In the cupboard. Are we thinking…”
“Two…”
I look up at him, and nod as heavenly light surges through me. “Yeah, I might be. Another baby.”
“One…”
“Are you cool with that?” I ask.
“Cheese!”
I turn to the camera just in time to pose for the photo, then turn back to Felix.
He’s smiling wide, squeezing me possessively.
“Cool with it? I can’t wait. I love you.”
I clutch tightly to him. “I love you too.”
“And I love you three!” Jake runs over. “Daddy, wrestling time!”
