I sat there on the edge of her windowsill while her eyes flew to her door.

“I locked it already. Don’t worry, kitten. Daddy won’t catch me in your bedroom.”

Her gaze widened. “How did you get in here?”

“I have my ways.”

“My room’s on the third floor. How did you know where it was?”

I shrugged. “Lucky guess.”

“Unless you’re Spiderman,” she bit. “How did you get up three stories?”

“I can climb trees.”

Her mouth dropped open. “If you would’ve fallen, you could’ve killed yourself. On Montgomery territory, nonetheless.”

“Would you have missed me, kitten?”

She stared at me, shaking her head. “You’re just full of surprises, aren’t you, Tristian? What are you doing here?”

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m here to see you.”

“Why?”

“I wanted to tuck you into bed.”

She jerked back, caught off guard. “You’ve been avoiding me all week and now—”

“Is that what I’ve been doing?”

She cocked her head to the side, defiance written all over her pretty face.

“You know what?” she uttered in one breath. “You are the most confusing guy on the planet.”

“Been called worse.”

“I’m serious. What do you want from me?”

“Everything.”

“What does that mean?” she frustratingly groaned. “You know what? I’ve always wanted to know what would happen if my daddy found you in my bedroom.”

I grinned, looking her over with a predatory regard. “It’s nice to know you spend time fantasizing about having me in your bed. Tell me, am I on top or are you riding me?” I smiled, sucking in my bottom lip. “Given the choice, I’d prefer you—”

“You have ten seconds to tell me what you want, or I’ll scream bloody murder because you’re in my room.”

“Belle.” I sternly shook my head. “Don’t fucking try me.”

“Five seconds.”

“Kitten…”

“Three and I’ll scream.”

“So fucking scream.”

She didn’t hesitate. “T—”
