My body erupted in a fit of spasms as my eyes rolled to the back of my head and my breathing hitched, screaming out his name. He pulled me close, wrapping my arms around his neck to kiss me and drowned out the loud sounds escaping my mouth.

Biting my bottom lip again, he ordered, “Eyes on me.”

I opened my hooded gaze, trying to catch my bearings.

He took a long, hard look at me and spoke with conviction, “I’m going to make you fall in love with me again.”

My eyes widened as he leaned back, unbuckled his belt, unzipped his pants, and freed his cock. Grabbing my hips next, he lifted me up and positioned himself at my opening.

“Yes…”

In one thrust, he was inside of me. I savored in the feel only he could give me. His hands made their way down to my ass, guiding my movements, finding a rhythm that drove me in a wild frenzy. I couldn't take it anymore. Overpowered by the feelings he stirred all around me, I allowed the familiar ache to take over.

He placed my face in between his hands and peered at me adoringly. “No more bullshit between us, kitten.”

I came and he growled, “You’re going to let me back in.”

“You are in.”

He didn’t let up until he spewed his seed deep inside of me. “Not your pussy, Belle. Your heart.”

I nodded, finally giving him what we both wanted.

Except, I silently prayed…

He wouldn’t break it this time.

Chapter 17

—Tristian—

“Good morning, kitten,” I groaned from behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist.

She was leaning against the railing that overlooked the water.

“If you’re hungry, I can make you something to eat.”

“Oh, I’m fucking starving.”

She tried turning around, but I caught her wrist.

“For you. I’m always starved for you.”

I could see it in her eyes.

The doubt.

The insecurity.

The resentment.

It was there, staring right at me.

Our marriage was weighing heavily on her mind. As much as I wanted to remember the way she looked at me then, I paid extra attention to the way she looked at me now.

Belle Montgomery had always been my biggest weakness, and at the same time she was my greatest strength.

There were so many “ what-ifs” racing through my mind.
