“Oh my God,” she breathed.

“Are you wet, Peyton? Touch yourself, slide two fingers into your pussy and tell me how wet you are.”

She let out a muffled moan. “I’m soaked.”

“Fuck, yeah. Finger yourself and imagine it’s me. Imagine I’m there, pressed up against you as I glide my fingers in and out, circling my thumb over your clit.”

“Xander,” she choked out. “God, it feels…”

“Don’t stop. I’m close…” My fist tightened around my dick, imagining it was Peyton’s warm wet heat.

The little moans and sighs she made were enough to tip me over the edge. An intense tingle shot down my spine and I spurted into my hand, groaning loudly.

Peyton’s soft laughter filled the line followed by her ragged breaths. “Oh God… Xander.”

“Come for me, imagine it’s my fingers you’re riding.”

Her orgasm hit and she moaned quietly, the sound muffled as if she was pressing her hand to her mouth.

Silence filled the line as we both lay there, in our separate beds, panting and hearts racing.

“That was a surprise,” Peyton finally said.

“A good one I hope?” Fuck, I hadn’t had phone sex in forever. But I could wake up every morning and do this and die a happy man.

“Very good.” I heard the smirk in her voice. “But I still wish you were here… I need you, Xander.”

“Tonight.” The word almost got stuck in my throat.

“I’m already counting the hours. Crap, I can hear people out in the hall. I should probably go.”

“Okay. I’ll see you later. Happy birthday, Peyton.”

The line went dead, and I dropped my cell onto the bed, shaking my head gently. I was in trouble.

So much fucking trouble.

To kill some time—andavoid moping around my apartment waiting for Peyton to get here—I decided to head to the gym downtown. For almost two hours, I pushed my body to its limits, burning off all the excess energy she triggered inside me.

After a quick shower, I pulled on my hoodie and grabbed my bag and left the gym, walking straight into Bryan.

“Oh, it’s you.” His lips thinned.

“Bryan,” I said, because what the fuck else was there to say?

Disappointment and betrayal radiated from him. I knew he liked Peyton. I wasn’t an idiot. I knew it was the only reason he’d kept our secret.

“Okay, this has been swell and all but I’m just going to go.” He moved around me, but I snagged his arm at the last second. His eyes snapped to mine, swirling with anger.

“We should probably talk.”

“I have nothing to say to you.”

“Please,” I said. Peyton cared about Bryan, called him her friend. And he was a good kid. I’d seen it more than once when he swooped in to rescue her from the likes of Sean Farrow.

“Fine. I’m meeting the guys at Bell’s, but I have time.”
