Chapter 21

Piper

What followed afterstepping out of the limo and into the hangar was not what I expected. I'd been to the airport before, but to be in a private hangar about to board a private plane the masters owned was something else.

There was no checking the bags, no getting scanned for explosives or liquids, none of that stuff. I was even handed a glass of champagne as I stepped into the plane.

"I could get used to this," I murmured to myself as I took in the plane.

There were four chairs total with a couple of couch-like seats lining the sides of the cabin. A large television filled the back wall with a door on either side of it. I tried to see what was in it without acting too nosy but was greeted by two gorgeous stewardesses, dressed in black skirt suits with blood red neckties.

They both smiled and ushered me into the cabin. One of them told me to sit wherever I wanted while the other greeted the masters. I was too nervous to sit through.

I hadn't thought much about being bonded to them before. but as the time to see their sire grew closer, I realized that they very well meant to have me do it before we got there, maybe even here on the plane. My stomach rolled around at the thought of being bound to them.

Would it hurt? Would I still be me?

Darren was kind of a stick in the mud and did whatever they wanted without question. Had he always been that way, or would I become some kind of robot that would do whatever they needed?

A dark part of me shivered at the prospect of being their puppet, and I shook my head in disgust. Of course, my slutty ass would think about them fucking me and not about how they would own me. I sighed and searched for a seat.

"Breathe, Piper." Darren’s voice preceded him as he appeared at my side so suddenly that I jumped in place.

I spun around to face him and gave him a weak smile before forcing myself to take a few deep breaths. With Darren here, I felt a bit better, not so much at my masters’ mercy.

The masters came behind him, and I had to either move out of the way or get trampled. I sat in one of the cream leather seats. It had so much more leg room than a normal plane that I could curl up in the seat and fall asleep if I wanted to.

Wynn took the seat next to me, much to my delight. The others piled in behind him with Rayne giving me a disheartened frown before taking a seat across from us with Marcus. The twins sat behind us while Antoine took a seat by himself, already pulling the tray table open to type away on a laptop he brought. Darren was up front, talking to the pilot and stewardesses about the plans for the flight.

I turned my attention back to the vampire next to me. Wynn seemed perfectly at ease and not at all nervous about the ride. He leaned on the arm of his chair and peered at me through half-lidded eyes.

"So, are you excited?"

"I'm not sure.” I shrugged. “It depends on what you’re referring to."

"The plane ride, of course." Wynn blinked those long lashes at me with a sultry smile. "None of us are excited about seeing our sire.

"Where are we going again?" I shifted in my seat and fiddled with the different buttons on my seat. When one of them made the seat fall back into a reclining position, I let out a little gasp of shock.

Allister peered over my seat with an amused grin. "Why, hello there."

I giggled and pushed the button again to make my seat move up right again. Wynn watched me with growing amusement, his face laying on his hand.

"To answer your question,” he said, “we are going to Seattle."

"Washington?" My brows shot up to my hairline. I was shocked by how far away their sire lived.

"Yep," Drake popped as he leaned between our seats. "We wanted to get as far away from him as possible without leaving the country."

"Because he would never allow that," Wynn added, his voice full of disdain. "I'd have loved to see Paris again. It's my home city, you know?"

"You’re French?" My mouth dropped open slightly. "I couldn’t tell. You don't have much of an accent."

Wynn's eyes crinkled at the edges. "Why, thank you." He picked my hand up and lifted it to his mouth before spouting out something lovely and very decidedly French that I didn't understand but made heat pool in between my thighs.

"What'd you say?" I breathed, ignoring the fact that every one of them had stopped talking to inhale my scent. I really needed to get a handle on that. I couldn't so much as fart in this more-than-spacious plane, let alone get turned on.

Rayne snorted from his seat and leaned to one side, meeting my eyes over Marcus's large frame. "Don't be so impressed. He simply said it's easy to fool the idiot Americans."
