"We're great company." The second one had that flippy kind of hair you saw in teen heartthrob magazines, and he looked all of sixteen. I guess not everyone cared about making sure someone was full-grown before they were changed. "Why don't we find a seat and you can tell us all about you?"

I smiled up at them and said, "Actually, I was thinking we could go somewhere more private." I moved in closer and placed a hand on each of their arms. "I have a hotel room down the street."

Broken nose guy chuckled in the way men do when they know they’re about to get laid while floppy haired guy pressed his face to the side of my neck and inhaled. I froze against him, not wanting to spook him.

"Oh, yeah, let's get out of here," floppy haired guy said, flashing me a fang toothed grin.

I linked my arms through both of theirs, scanning the room once more as I tried to get a decent headcount. We moved down the long hallway, the two vampires on my arms, whispering filthy things they were going to do to me once we were alone. Had it been my own vampires, I'd have probably enjoyed the dirty talk, but as it were...I happily threw them to the wolves, so to speak, once we were out the door.

"They're all yours," I quipped, darting back inside before the two of them realized what I had done. I played the game with a handful of other vampires delivering each and every one of them to the waiting hunters outside.

“How many more are there?” Mizuki asked, stopping me before I could go back inside.

I tallied them up in my head. “At least another dozen.”

“What of the owner?”

I shook my head. “Haven’t seen him.”

“Him?” Mizuki arched a brow. “Do you know the vampire who owns this establishment?”

I quickly backtracked my words. “Uh, no. I don’t know him, just of him.”

“Then maybe you can play the game once more with him.”

Arguing was not worth the waste of breath. I knew for a fact that Morpheus wouldn’t be here. Antoine would have made sure to take care of that. Instead, I made my way back into the club and then to the bar. Might as well pretend to look for him and then head home when I fail.

On my way to the bar, a familiar laugh caught my ear. I spun on my heel, my heart beating like a drum in my chest. No. No. What were they doing here? They’re going to get themselves killed. Why would they come here?

I pushed through the handful of people clustered around the couches. When I reached them, my worst fears were confirmed. Sitting on the couch with a woman beside him, fang marks on her neck, sat Allister Durand.

My fear was replaced with a wave of anger so palatable I could hardly speak. I forced myself to calm down and stalked over to the couch, rounding to the back of it where I could easily see the brunette woman leaning into Allister, the intent in her face clear to anyone who saw it. When Allister didn’t discourage her, I couldn’t hold back anymore.

I kicked the back of the couch, causing the whole thing to tumble over with Allister and the flirty blood whore. Allister, too shocked by my actions, didn’t immediately understand what was going on until I had my knife out and at his throat. “What the hell do you think you are doing?”
