Her tone is filled with affectionate amusement.
“Do you want any?” I inquire.
“Kids?”
“Yeah.”
“I do,” she breathes out.

Her tone is steady, assured, and my balls tighten at the thought of Lisa O’Malley, soon to be Ford, become heavy with my seedmanytimes.
“Yeah? Sounds like a plan,” I deadpan.
Lisa giggles.
“Do you talk to all your conquests about having children with them?”
Her tone is teasing, but I catch a hint of suspicion.
“I’ve never conquered anyone before you, Lisa. I usually fuck, share a good time and bounce.” I mark a pause, searching for the right words because I need her to understand and believe how crucial this thing between us is. “Only you make me think these crazy thoughts.”

“Lisa?”
“I’m here.” She marks a beat. “Just picking up my jaw from the floor.”
I chuckle.
“Okay, about our date. What do you have in mind?”
“First, I thought I’d invite you over, share a meal in my house. It’s quiet, I have a great view. But there’s one major issue.”
“What issue?” her voice takes an undertone of worry.
“Us anywhere near a bed, or simply alone behind closed doors.”
She lets out an understanding, “oh.”
And I want nothing more than to be with her at this moment. Watch her luscious mouth form a perfect circle, and slip my thumb between her full lips, let her warmth and saliva coat my finger. “Yeah, oh. Your place is not an option either. At least not on our first date. I wanna talk, get to know you, find out why a woman who looks like an island girl has the last name O’Malley.”
Lisa’s laughter is a soothing balm to my worry of having spooked her.
