His thumb and finger strummed over her nipple, pinching it lightly as he kissed her deeper, taking over her mouth until all she could do was be swept along by the sensation. He cupped her other breast and applied the same treatment and Claire gasped into his mouth.

“I see you got started without me,” Malcolm’s amused voice had Claire breaking the kiss. Everett didn’t stop his attention on her breasts and her core clenched as she locked eyes on Malcolm who’s golden eyes glowed from the doorway.

“Our Fourth was worrying too much so we are providing a distraction,” Desmond said from the bathroom doorway. He rubbed a towel through his wet hair, he must have finished his shower while Claire was distracted. She watched as a drop of water fell from his black curls onto his chest and inched down towards his waist.

“See,” Desmond chuckled, noticing where her attention was, “Distracted.”

“Well, you haven’t done a very good job of it yet,” Claire snarked back and swiveled her hips against Everett who groaned and pinched her nipple in retaliation.

Malcolm laughed and crossed the room. “I’ll just have to steal you away like the treasure you are.”

Everett stepped back and allowed Malcolm to sweep her into his arms and toss her onto the bed.

“Let me show you how a dragon takes care of his treasure,” Malcolm’s cheesy joke had Claire laughing. Her laughter quickly turned into a gasp and a moan as he flattened his tongue and licked up her center. She gasped and squirmed as he teased her clit with the tip of his tongue. His hands cupped her ass as he lifted her further into his mouth, pinning her down with his wide shoulders as he forced her to take all he was giving her.

Mewls and cries fell from her lips as he drove his tongue into her. The bed dipped and Desmond brushed some hair away from her face as he leaned down to kiss her. A warm mouth covered her breast and suckled on her nipple sending the zinging sensation down to her clit. Malcolm’s mouth drove her closer and closer to the edge until her body shook between them as she fell over the edge.

They didn’t let up though and she fell over the edge three more times before it felt like every nerve was oversensitized and she twisted away. Her eyes were heavy as it was like the Energy had been zapped right from her. She reached for them, wanting more even as her eyes were falling shut. Everett bundled her into his arms and the drugging warmth of his body had her slipping closer to oblivion. She was barely aware of a warm cloth cleaning her up before she was tucked into Desmond’s side and she fell asleep with the scent of spearmint in her nose.

If her friends noticed her good mood that next morning, thankfully they didn’t say anything about it.

Cody also looked bright eyed but Bethany looked ready to murder someone, mainly Cody. Someone had placed food and coffee in the room while they were getting ready and Zack shoved a cup of coffee into Bethany’s hands and intercepted Cody’s path, sitting next to her before the wolf could. Interesting.

Holly and Claire exchanged amused looks but didn’t feel the need to break the silence with chatter, instead content to enjoy the early morning silence. Puck begged for scraps from all of her friends before settling at Claire’s feet and grooming his feathers. Cody tried to catch Bethany’s eyes several times during breakfast but she kept them firmly on the plate on her lap. Claire frowned, she would have to ask her friend what was going on and soon. Right after they figured everything else out.

After breakfast, Mara knocked on the door with Roderick behind her, laden down with several packs.

“When did I revert to becoming an errand boy?” Roderick grumbled good-naturedly as he deposited the packs in the center of the room.

“When your wife asks you to.” Mara patted a hand on his cheek and smiled sweetly at him.

“For you, anything.” Roderick kissed her and Malcolm groaned.

“It’s too early to see you two like that,” Malcolm said, using Claire as a shield to hide his eyes.

“Quick, Brantley, kiss me so we can embarrass Everett too,” Everina said as Brantley came in with packs as well.

“Please don’t,” Everett said diplomatically as Bethany, Holly, and Claire giggled.

“We weren’t able to gather much,” Mara said at the straining straps of the packs. “But we replenished what you had and added whatever else we could think of.”

“Including some extra stuff,” Everina said, crossing over and tugging Claire up from the couch so she could hug her. “Everything you need for the bonding ceremony is in there,” she whispered not so softly.

Claire blushed as she pulled back and Everina looked at her meaningfully. “Got it,” she squeaked as Everett rescued her.

“Alright that’s enough shenanigans out of you all this morning,” Everett said, pulling Claire back into his arms.

Everina turned to Brantley, hand on her chest and a mock-appalled look on her face. “Our son just called our actions shenanigans!”

“I know,” Brantley said solemnly. “We’ll have to up our game to get the title of ‘down right embarrassing.’”

“Please don’t,” Malcolm groaned as Mara and Everina exchanged conspiratorial looks.

“Unfortunately, we are probably out of time this morning,” Holly conceded and Mara smiled at her.

“You’re right, we’ll let you get going.”
