“You mean insert Peg A into Slot B?” Adrian asked.

“No, smartass,” she replied. “I meant what’s supposed to happen to me.”

“Takes all the fun out of it if we tell you,” Duncan teased, standing and approaching her.

Adrian followed suit and her heart sped up. She felt like a cornered rabbit with nowhere to run and wasn’t sure she wanted to run anyway. They stopped in front of her and held out their hands, so she placed a palm in each of theirs and allowed them to lift her to a standing position. She felt dwarfed between these two large men and fought to maintain her normal breathing. Could she really handle this?

“Now what?” she asked.

“How about we just relax a little?” Adrian suggested. “You’ve got a panicked look on your face. Let’s take a bottle of wine out to the hot tub.”

That sounded like a really good idea. In theory, this whole ménage idea sounded exhilarating, but when faced with the reality of it, she wasn’t certain she could handle it. While Duncan went to the kitchen to grab a couple bottles of wine, Adrian searched out an ice bucket. Harlee undressed and slipped on a robe, then waited for them at the back door.

Adrian opened the door and they stepped out into a glass enclosure that seemed suspended in mid-air. All she could see was darkness, the moon, clouds and the other mountains.

“Breathtaking,” she murmured, stepping toward the glass.

“Yes, you are,” Adrian replied.

She smiled but didn’t turn around.

She heard the pop of a cork and the sound of wine pouring into glasses, but she was so mesmerized by the view she didn’t want to leave her position.

“Harlee, come on,” Duncan urged. “You can’t put this off forever.”

Reluctantly, she turned around and faced two sets of expectant faces watching her. Always watching her, as if she held the key to some great mystery. She didn’t even know what it was she was supposed to know or do yet, only that something was supposed to happen when she made love to them tonight. Something beyond the monumental experience of making love to two men at once, as if that wasn’t enough. It was for her, at least.

“I don’t know what to do,” she admitted, feeling rather virginal in an odd sort of way.

Adrian pulled his shirt over his head and unzipped his jeans, letting them fall to the floor. God, he was already hard, magnificent with the moonlight shining on his body. He stepped over to her and untied the sash of her robe, drawing it off her shoulders and letting it fall to the floor. “Just let it happen naturally, baby,” he said. “Nobody’s in a rush here, okay?”

He pressed his lips to hers, so uncharacteristically patient he surprised her. She nodded and let him lead her by the hand to the edge of the hot tub. Steam rose off the water, issuing a silent invitation to her tense muscles. She held onto his hand while she stepped in and settled down in the relaxing warmth. Adrian followed her into the water then she turned and watched Duncan undress, observing for the first time the subtle differences between the two men.

Duncan was hairier. She wondered if that was because he was a werewolf. She giggled.

“What’s so funny?” Duncan asked as he straddled the edge of the hot tub and slid down the side.

“You’re hairier than Adrian.”

He reached for a glass of wine and settled in. “That’s because I’m manlier.”

“In your dreams, dog-boy,” Adrian said, downing his first glass and reaching for the bottle to pour another.

“You’re just jealous because you don’t have the testosterone levels I do,” Duncan teased.

“I don’t know how you could have any testosterone with that pencil dick between your legs,” Adrian quipped.

Harlee rolled her eyes, but between the warm water and the teasing banter between the two men, she began to relax. The past week she’d come to realize that despite the way the two men taunted each other, they really were friends. Which would make what was about to happen much easier than if they were mortal enemies.

“It’s snowing,” Adrian said, reaching behind him to hit a switch.

“It is? Really?” A soft whirring sound made Harlee look up. Her jaw dropped as the roof began to retract and small flakes of snow began to fall into the water.

“Thought you might like that. A little chill with the heat in here.”

“Ohh!” she exclaimed, excited at the prospect of snow, something she’d rarely seen where she lived. She placed her wine glass on the bench outside the hot tub and kneeled in the center of the tub, tilting her head back and sticking her tongue out to try and catch the sparsely falling snowflakes, almost losing her balance several times and dipping under the water. Adrian and Duncan held onto her hands and supported her, content to let her play like a child for a few moments.

But then she caught their gazes on her, on the way her breasts bobbed in and out of the water, her nipples appearing and disappearing from view, and knew that they weren’t the slightest bit interested in the cold snowflakes dropping on the steamy water and melting instantly, or catching the cool flakes on their tongues.
